I had pretty similar thoughts on the situation. I mean, I haven't slept at home numerous times over the last few weeks. I may have not been there at all, what then? She is 29 going on 18. Ah well, I can't keep stressing myself out about it. All her stuff is pretty much in the living room, she is moving back to Alaska on the 25th.

Well, I'll offer some advice, since ive been in your situation and i have nothing better to do (waiting for downloads)
I suggest you dont jump back into the dating scene right away. Take some time away from women. Find yourself.
Take some time, get over your girl (you will, trust me). Do things you couldnt do while you were with your girl and do things that bring you pleasure and relax you (for me its videogames and good movies).
Then, after a month or 2 or 3, start dating again. Dont commit yourself to one woman right away. Date various women, experience different types of women. Try and figure out what it is exactly what you want from a girl. What kinda characteristics your looking for and stuff
And I dont suggest meeting someone over the internet. Ive met a few women over the internet since my divorce and they all seem to be insecure. I guess thats why they feel more comfortable talking over the internet rather than face to face you know?
Go to some clubs, bars, parties, find a girl that brings joy and happiness into your life.
But like I said, dont rush things. Losing someone youve been involved with for a consderable amount of time is kinda like having someone die on you. You have to grieve. Dont rush things.
Things will get easier man and eventually you wont even think of your ex. Or if you do, it wont bring back those feelings of being hurt.
Trust me, i know. I rarely think of my exwife anymore. Occasionally, things remind me of her, but thats bound to happen.
Just keep her out of your life, move on and things will start to look up for you.

Thanks for all your support everybody! I may have to take you up on that Syco. My first order of business that i couldn't do is getting a 42" lcd. Then hopefully i can just dork out with that thing rather then going to the bars all the time.
i just haven't really felt like gaming much tbh. i played Army of Two the other day for an hour or so. That is the only time i've actually played a game in what seems like 3 weeks. Which for me --- is insane.

Well.. she was back today and when she was leaving kissed me on the cheek. I asked her what she was doing, she said "God I'm sorry" and left. i don't get it, now she is talking about trying to find me when she comes back from alaska. As if, i'm just going to be waiting here. i would have no problem doing that if this would have been something we talked about. However, it started with i'm leaving you, and now it's i just need to go handle this stuff and then i'll come back.
Just keeping you guys updated. I am not going back. I can't. Her attitude hasn't changed she had a temper tantrum when the first 2 pens she tried didn't work.
sighs.......
The only thing i can think is some other plans fell through or she just realized things weren't the way they were. I just not going to try and fix this and then have it happen again.

Like I said, fuck her. Christ your barely out of your young-adult life mate, plenty of birds about with eyes for guys like yourself. Im sure you have the money to look good and you seem a level headed chap you will meet someone when you look for it. Like Syco said, forget about the girls for a good while and have some fun to yourself.
Sounds to me the ex is either 1)attention seeking or 2) trying to keep you sweet should she ever fuck up, she'll have something soft to land on. Fuck that shit, sell your place and move without telling her. Thats what I'd do, hell, I'd have lobbed all her shit out on the lawn if she pulled any of that mind game shit on me.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side.
Still, there's always Bangkok, for £550. Take a couple of weeks off and let loose. Flies out next week though, so you better get packing!

I got to find out this weekend that she had been cheating on me. Sucks bad, but i finally got the closure i needed.

Well I'm sorry to hear such a long relationship has ended. I can understand that her life wasn't as she expected it to be 9 years ago but thats just a part of life... I think she will realize this though and hopefully she will atleast apologize to you someday. Also her cheating is 100% her fault never blame yourself for that.
O btw you can have my wife if you want?
