wow, looks awesome, but the price... $800 damn...
Why do these monitors appear tiny on pictures?
I mean, this Crossover is 27" right?! That's huge, but in the picture it doesn't look that huge.
Have you tried other, non native resolutions? Like 1080p?
EDIT: Noticed the 1080p question has been answered Damn you ninjas!

there isn't any
it's 640x480, 1280x720 and 2560x1440 only
but modern videocards have shader scalers that allow virtual resolutions of any size to exist

Well, you're mostly right.
Every TFT has a native resolution, anything other than the native resolution will be scaled by the gfx-card.

Lets say like this, if you are planning to use 2560x1440 screen with any other resolution... It will look like shit, no matter how you scale it since its not native resolution.

Pretty much, yes. It's like scaling up pictures in photoshop.
It looks slightly better when you do it to scale (ie. keep the same proportions (16:9)) due to the fact that no asymmetric scaling is being done. But it will still be additional calculations having to be done (eg. which pixel will be duplicated, and how will it be blurred to compensate?).
If you want you can call it the cheapest anti-aliasing/blurring filter available.
Yes, yes I'm back.

well, no, nearly all modern monitors have hardware scalers in them. (really good quality these days too)
videocard pumps out whatever your game starts up in (unless you specifically define it as scaled by the videocard), and then monitor scaler stretches it to native resolution.
most of monitor lag comes from the scalers.
i don't know if monitors check for native input resolution and skips the scaler, but it would be worth testing if you're into low latency gaming or somesuch.
either way, these dvi-only cheapo monitors have no scalers at all.
those with multiple inputs have scalers (and are more expensive)

i got mine today ( rang the bell at 7:30 in the morning :E )
crossover 27Q
it's a decent monitor
it only has the brightness controls but luckily colors are pretty much spot on anyway.
the order was "perfect pixel" but there is a single black pixel to the upper right side of the screen.
but the pixel pitch is so thick that i can't even see it unless i get really close.
so i don't think i'll bother whining about it.
it appears the screen has a scaler after all, even though the articles said it didn't.
unless nvidia has switched on scaling for unsupported resolutions in recent drivers.
build quality is sturdy but a bit hasty
a few screws were lose enough for my finger to turn and the metal back plate resonated to my sound system, but that stopped when i tightened the screws
the glossy screen is glossy but not nearly as distracting as i had expected
i can only barely see my reflection on black background in a lit room (though a bit more during daytime)
had a run of dayz and i just see so much more that it feels like cheating

there's two negative bits i've experienced so far;
-it's glossy
all the slightest dirt and grease shows
-it's fucking glossy
during daytime i can't watch anything dark as it turns into a mirror
.. i'm sure i had real two things when i started writing but i forgot
*more whiskey*
the dark pixel hasn't bothered me at all
i really have to look for it unless it's an all white background and even then i have to lean forward

The glossy part is a plus for me.
I've got a panel with 1 dead pixel also. Like shole says you really have to look for it to find it (leaning forward and stuff). Even after you've spotted it, unless you got eagle-eyes or something it won't bother you at all.

A month down the road and still very much happy with my choice of monitor. Given how extremely cheap the crossover is, I cannot even begin to give it enough praise. Performance, image quality, clarity, and not to mention: speed in gaming. The issues I have with it are minor and are summed up as:
1. IP-LED brightness - the screen never gets pitch black, it shines with a dark dark grey light which in very dark scenes can be a bit annoying (such as playing DayZ during night time).
2. Buttons being on the backside of the monitor - really, who designed this thing? Having the power-buttons and brightness-settings on the back side of the monitor seems stupid.
3. Beeping when you shut it off - there's this high-pitched beep when I switch the monitor off that stops being heard after awhile. There's this sense that, given how cheap the monitor is, and how it isn't a thoroughly tested and quality proofed product it could blow up anytime. This is just me being paranoid though - I'm sure it'll be fine.
Yes, yes I'm back.

fisk: It's not supposed to beep, or atleast mine doesn't.

That brightness issue can be also IPS glow what you are experiencing (grey/silver colours on edges). Also that high pitch peeping comes probably from the external el cheapo PSU. Many peole have swapped it to better quality.
