You would move to a foreign country to be a pizza delivery boy as we say in Croatia 'nigga then it's better to do nothing'.

There are 350000+ unemployed people in Croatia, finding a job is tough as hell here :\ |
We have almost 5 million (+4.808.908)

Yeah, but our country is 57 on the 2013 corruption perception index, while Spain is on 40th place. Corruption is really rampant here, which further deepens the employment problem.
Plus the madmax's reasoning is a part of the problem here in Cro...

You are right. 5 mln people taking benefits is a refreshing idea for a country that's on a brink of bankrupcy.
Pizza boy was just an example. But I guess being 30 and living with parents is something people want. |
It's a bit more complicated than that , but mentality can play a role in this. When you have all the qualifications, but are financially unable to fly the nest because there aren't jobs available, leaving the country is considered the last option for many different reasons.
The first one is, no money at all, not even for a flight (in this case you're obviously forced to stay). But it's not just that, people are generally very attached to their family, surely more than most of the Eastern European countries, not to mention the poor knowledge of the English language, which is a sad reality here ->speaking of which, I'm not immune either xD. And last but not least, the great food and climate can also be important factors. Many young people prefer to lead a humble life at their parents house working part-time and underpaid rather than explore the possibility of a potentially career-changing yet risky job abroad.
Plus there's always that hope that "things will eventually get fixed soon" despite the evidence, that's also a common trait to all the Mediterranean countries. Dimas will probably confirm this
