That would make sense, if it wasn't for the fact that you can look around. This "blur" is depth of field, but as in most games, done wrong. It should blur things depending on what your focus is on; they can simulate that close enough by simply using the crosshair (center of the screen) as focal point. Some games do that, most don't. |

Haha nice example. I do agree with what you say but I think the blurred look is a nice touch. It would be even more awesome if they had the blurred effect shifting focus depending on where you look but that was clearly not implemented. Its quite amusing how this whole conversation is relating to a feature only in the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game.

dunno what to think but DigitalFoundry dropped the ball here , as you can see they compared videos taken from PS3 to PS4 ...
the thing is PS3 video has makroblocking and overwhite ... simple put it was coded with low bitrate
the PS4 that has the right brightness and the right bitrate coding ...
thats bull shiterry from GameTrailers right there , that they did comparing XBOX360 to PS3 ... GT was always pro Xbox crap ALWAYS
so lets ignore the makroblocking and fucked brightness [that was done on propose]... the only thing different is : PS 4 runs in higher resolution , has AA and higher textures with medium shadows , running at stable 30fps

yes when they compare it to PC , ps4 and xbone ... but not when they do it to 360 and ps3 ... its like a mock montage that GT does when they do comparisons

This game is great. I really don't get all the hate - on the second mission of act 2, where you get attacked and have to escape from the apartment. Awesome shit.
This and Killzone 4 - both unfairly scored and much better than I was expecting!

Nobody said the game is bad. The story is not so good and the side missions/activities get repetitive after a while. That's all.

Side missions / activites are shit. but i think the story is pretty good. certainly higher than a 8 in my books so far.. specially when you consider the online integration which i think is groundbreaking and very good indeed.
