If they didn't care about pissing off nerds/older fans then they would have zero interest in e.g comics, or established characters, they would do new ones for the new fans (that they imagine exists - or do they, really..)
It's not like they're doing any kind of money with a comic like crippled lesbian Spiderperson, as a recent example.
Maybe I am in a different field of fans?
But EVERY marvel based movie annoyed the 'reading comics and hanging them in thier sleeves on the wall to wallpaper my room in them IS one of my hobbies' type fans like me (or was when I was younger anyway).
Every single marvel movie is so far off the comic storyline and characters, in an attempt to tailor it for some audience broader than the actual comic hobbyist fans. That anyone that read the comics monthly for years and remembers all the well written, deep, ongoing plots go "Hey I know this story.....what, whats this? This isnt what happened, this isnt how so-and-so acts. This isn't why so-and-so is like it is. This is not anything like the story or characters they are trying to do"
Any of them are like that, but best examples:
Spoiler:
-Infinity War/Endgame? Not one second in the movie is anything like why/how/when/with who Thanos actually wanted the stones (well the 1/2 the universe dead thing yea..but it SO different in the movie of why..which is the whole plot), or how he got them. Thanos was nothing like real thanos, and the place, time, who was involved, and where isnt even remotely how the battle went down. Infinity Gauntlet/Thanos as a whole was one of my favorite story lines and villains in the comics, did not enjoy any of the movie.
It would be like making a WWII movie based in Antarctica, using muskets as weapons, and the two sides are the french vs the Mongolian empire lead by hitler. Sure its a huge battle and one guy in it is called the same...but thats it. Otherwise it's not even remotely like WWII.
-ANY of the avengers? Characters look like them , but dont act like them. Any of the stories are very very vague "I read the cover of the comic. I can wing the rest" at best to say its anything like ones in the comics. Entire parts of the movies have nothing to do with the comics, and some story plots are so far off (or just outright backwards) from teh comics its obvious they didnt want to follow even the basic brushstrokes of how it was written.
-ANY of the x-men movies? same as above, but worse.
There is not one single marvel movie so far, that is not a money grab at some target audience that never read the comics the story in the movies are based on, but simply like action movies about super heroes.
So yea, they dont care about the actual marvel nerdy fans, but to be fair they never have because that is not a big market of eyeballs.
They care about fans of action movies, that like comic book characters, because they seen them in other movies before now about comic book characters.
She Hulk is no different. Its just re-aimed at non readers target thats a different one..but same same.

I still dont see how people expect better from a show from Disney that literally translates to - Strong Woman: Strong powerful successful no nonsense Woman. (She Hulk: Attorney at Law). It just smacks of targeted to Middle Class women humor.
It's damn near plagiarism of the Ally McBeal plot 24 years ago, just with super powers:
A flawed protagonist. A tone that turns easily from drama to comedy to smash-cut fantasy. A young and fetching professional law woman who is coming to grips with her weaknesses and turning them into strengths in a world not expecting it from her.
Thats a plot synopsis I found. Can you guess which of the two it is from?
Not defending the show, they both kind of sucked to watch for my demographic. So did 'Sex and the City' But I didnt go around being smug about how a show about women, for women, was eye rolling for a man to my friends.
At this point after KNOWING you are not target watchers it feels like an equal to me hanging out with friends in 1999 and going "Man you see Sex and the City ending last night? My god it was cringe". And my friends going "Why....are you watching, talking about, and eager to find someone to agree while talking that its unenjoyable for men to watch?
Is toxic woke culture a thing? Absolutely! this....this isnt it. Unless 20+ years ago those other shows was too.
Cracker barrel announced a new sausage to go with the 50 already targeted at me I got excited. IT turns out its vegan sausage! I like sausage and they know it, yet they made a new sausage to go on the menu along with the 99% of sausage aimed me, that wasnt for me! How dare them. Woke ass Cracker Barrel. Lets gather up the sausage lovers and bitch how the newest 51st sausage option is one I wouldn't enjoy as a sausage lover...[replace sausage with super hero movie/shows.]

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
@couleur
Maybe its me.
I feel laughing at shows not targeted at me for the cringe it has simply because the context is lame to me, would the same as doing it to other shows not targeted at me like peppa pig, or Blues Clues, Love is Blind, Say yes to the Dress (a wedding dress reality show), The Kardashian (this one people mock all the time, but eh..its not aimed at me, so me not finding the content good isnt funny. I'm not the one they are trying to make it good for)
I mean peppa pig and blues clues IS pretty eyerolling and cringe worthy if you are over the age of 10 (the people they made it for).
Now if it WAS aimed at me, and missed because of the cringe. Or didnt have an aim and was cringe simply because it was bad and appealed to no one, thats a fail and laughable to talk about with the boys. This isnt really a fail, as you cant fail at something you wasnt doing.
Edit: Like me and wife got into a...discussion of me having to make her feel better about how I replied when she read me some mocking article about 'Captain Desantis' (our governor) flying in with a cape while dodging real responsibility like superman with bullets, to swat math books out of children's hands to save them from the scary Race Theory Monster he claims only he can see in them with his conservative super vision.
(She took me saying the person writing the article was being petty and using childish mockery, as I meant SHE was for thinking it was funny)
Now I do NOT agree with most anything he has to say, and think most of it is absurd. But to Satire and parody it like that I thought was in bad taste. As it wasnt biting sarcasm, it was primary school mockery at best.
IF they did it for a cause we/she/I stood for she would call it petty and caricature ad hominem. Just because you also dislike the thing its doing that to, doesnt mean it excuses that it is also petty.
Same here. I dont like it, but its not aimed at me. So I would dislike if people got mad at a show I did like because it wasnt aimed at them or mock it to push it to change because they think its content should be changed towards them.

It's still veeeeeeeery low-quality content regardless of how much you want to play devil's advocate here DX
Sex and the City was a goddamn masterpiece compared to this.

More pointing out I have no reason to care if its low quality content (and confused by why others see a need to vocalize it), since I am not the people they made the content for.
if I went around posting snippets of shows I thought was low quality content, I would need my own AWS file server to store and host them all...lol.
But to be fair, the twerking humor is about on par for level of wit in marvel tv/movie humor. Its just a joke that falls on deaf ears to us.
And think its amplified since people dislike the show anyway. Parks and Rec has a scene of Leslie trying to twerk when she was a DJ at the club saying nearly the same thing (the I'd kill for you..but think it was Id take a bullet for you) when Ann tells her she is a lot more fun at the bar. But people like that show, so they didnt get upset. Why? Because the context of the humor it was wrapped in was 'thier' style of humor.

You're giving them a lot of credit here, even teenagers can be dismayed by such scenes ! At least it's what I seemed to gather browsing Marvel-enthusiast communities, a lot of comments from seemingly rather young people bottle-fed with Marvel stuff just regretted that it started to look dumb for the sake of it - aka where's the enjoyable superhero part anymore, kinda.
We could further analyse this in order to understand why this titbit isn't working well - we are only three episodes in with an unestablished character, the scene features a famous "singer" (such cameos aren't usual for MCU, are they ? I could be wrong here, I don't watch enough of it ), the CGI makes a supposedly kinda sexy thing it extra weird, and so on.
Guess they are just missing their target here since they didn't define it very well to begin with.. unless ratings come back with good numbers, but I'm slightly doubtful

To me thats EVERY marvel movie in the last 10 years.
Unnecessarily dumb, with stories dumbed to the point of feeling like it has no more depth than a kids animated movie like Despicable Me or Zootopia.
Humor on par with a tv bubblegum sitcom level of quips and one liners. (If they do anymore in the movies of: Ask obvious question, pause for comedic effect, answer with obvious answer is obvious...I will scream haha).

i thought ep 3 was on par with ep 2, which was good. has some nice humour sometimes, she has some snarky comments like tony stark which i like.
every ep ending has some end credits scene, in this ep the twerking scene is very stupid but it did worked given the context of the ep and gave a good chuckle at the end.
at how stupid it was. u cant even laugh at stupid these days? i even get some good chuckles from you sometimes
I saw that a big big fan of Megan thee stallion pronounced it thee and not the as intended by the illiterate rapper. that made me chuckle.
I saw the sexist dood get his ass handed down. that made me chuckle.
I saw a show aimed a girls and women showing off twerking. I didn't chuckle. it was stupid. CGI keeps getting worse. looked like a sfm animation when she walked into the office.
@DXWarlock
Someone at Disney gave the go ahead to write, direct, animate this segment. Disney then paid to promote this on social media. At this point, irrespective of the target audience, you make yourself an open target to be mocked for cringe like this. You can't not help but laugh at it when they have specifically paid for marketing that cameo when the CGI is so hilariously bad
@Yuri
By that same standard
-Someone has continually gave the go ahead and funding to write, direct, and continue to make the Walking Dead. (My wife watches it, I find it humorously badly written, each episodes arc is predictable and unwatchable).
-Someone funded, wrote, and encouraged 100+ episode of Brooklyn 99 after seeing the first episode and still greenlighting it and decided to promote it (Its cringy and humor is eye rolling to me. Like its trying to be an edgy parks and rec).
-Someone continues to pay, promote, and create ad material for Aziz Ansari standup despite having seen his act.
-Some people saw the pilot for Big Bang Theory, and threw money at it to make more. (Its like blackface but for nerds [which is fine, love the 80's movie 'Revenge of the Nerds'] but this show has really badly written negative trope jokes and the witty humor, isnt smart nor witty.)
Why? Because despite me thinking they are all pure crap. Some audience seems to think they are not I agree, crap show is crap. But doesnt mean there isnt enough people that enjoy a specific type of crap to make money off it.
But then again I admit maybe it's me. I dont go around posting about shows I don't like or find bad. If I did I would be a lot more active in Movie & TV sparks section
I dont like this one either, first episode was what I thought it was going to be after hearing the title and seeing the trailer. So watched it, didnt like it and did the same as I do with walking dead: Dont look for clips of it, news about it, or talk about how bad it is each time I see a clip of it.

@DXWarlock
I agree that you, me or someone else might have different tastes so what they find good is not necessarily going to be the case for me or vice versa. But that is a different tangent altogether. As I said, this cameo was specifically marketed. Marvel/Disney paid money to promote the show via this cameo and in turn, this scene. So this isn't a case of me looking for clips but it's a case of social media promotion showing this as an advertorial of sorts. When the company is specifically promoting something like this, it gives you free reign to mock regardless of whether you like it or not because it's an advertorial for that specific media.
Sometimes something is truly ridiculous that you can't help but make fun of it or post it for the laughs. On the flip side, there's something bad but you are indifferent about it. But this is specifically a case of where the absurdity of how terrible it was shattered my indifference barrier leading me to posting the clip.
Very true.
But if anything, the same company that does the DisneyXD channel should not surprise anyone that it will shoe horn in cameos to appeal 'to the youths' and moms that want to be 'The Hip' with whatever is hip and trendy at the time.
Not defending it so much, as pointing out this is also not a new thing. The 70/80's Hulk, Superman, Wonder woman, million Dollar Man and whatever else super hero shows cram packed 'whoever is famous at the time' cameos into them whenever they could for exposer.
Not saying it isnt comically bad to do it. I totally agree, I feel any show that has cameos for the "oohh I know that person and like them, a famous person I like is on this show!" is cheap and aiming for low hanging fruit of media buzz. Even if they are a character from another version of the same show, it smells of gimmicky to me.

Megan who thee fuck? Tinder episode? Cringy 4th wall breaks? What is your favorite cocktail Wongers? What is next, She-Hulk on Onlyfans?
Kinda fun as disaster watching though. But honestly, the cameos are the only good thing about it and some people behind the curtain seem to be aware of that.
