A good movie no doubt, I personally would rate it at around 7.5-8 or so. I did think it was a little slow at times, but it is intentional - but the "I have to stare at you or the wall for 10 seconds before I speak/answer your question" kinda got a bit annoying. I love the atmosphere, setting, music etc. all very well done. But I did feel like it was a tiny bit "disjointed" and uneven. I don't know how to put it, but anyway

So, great atmosphere and acting, it is a simple movie but that doesn't matter when you handle the subject matter in such a good way Smile

i like it the way it is, less dialogue and more body language, as Roger Ebert said, the movie respects its audience

Saw an article that said during the course of rehearsals etc Refn, Gosling, Mulligan started removing bits of dialogue to emphasize the emotions shared between them. I personally liked it. It makes you feel more about the moment and put a bit of yourself in to the pauses. Also 'the mystique' of the character is preserved better
