It was a typical Hollywood thing.
Spoiler: | Kill the time-flower and you get that power-time-reverse-thing where the enemies can't reset time anymore. Just kill them all.
I don't remember any hint that he could reset the day after that? |

I thought it was a great movie, really well done, but that ending really spoiled an otherwise flawless film...

8/10 - Great Movie! Tom Cruise continues to pump out excellent movies! Beginning was a bit annoying with the back and forth, but once I got over that it picked up..

How the hell else was it supposed to end?
Spoiler: | Humanity was badly being defeated and this was the singular only path to take to defeat the Omega which it had calculated had a very low percentage of succeeding. Like a gateway if opened it would then turn the tide of battle in favour of humanity. Such an ending had a decent closure I felt but yes compared to the novel I suppose it could have been done less hollywood-like but meh.. sometimes those endings are hard to please everyone.. |

I'm not watching this until there is some brrip with DTS.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Chinese subs is not a problem. Video getting real ugly as in lots of blocks and shit during fast paced action scenes is.
PS Edge.of.Tomorrow.2014.1080p.HC.WEBRip.PROPER.x264.AAC-RARBG
It seems this one doesn't have video breaking into blocks like Edge of Tomorrow (2014) CHSSUB WEB-DL x264 AAC-lwn release..

Because they can. Most people who use iTunes don't know the first thing about bitrate, they just stare at the 1080p and go for it.

Dat fucking ending
Spoiler: | Jeeezzzz, the whole movie was great, minor stupid questions around why noone seemed to recognize the major and how she knew her powers were gone, a "feeling" my ass. Oh well.
But that damn ending, couldnt they just add a part where he assaulted the damn Omega thing again? That would have at least tied that one up, but noooo, he just blew up and thats it.
But to be fair theres a guy's theory in imdb that links how the blue alpha on the beach never reapeared after losing its life, in time travel i suppose he would have shown up again and again but he didnt, hence explaining why the omega died when the mayor went back in time. Sketchy but thats the most convincing theory ive read

SPOILERS... dont read below if you haven't seen yet...
the best theory ive seen, which is the only one i actually liked as a possibility, was that tom cruise stole the power back, but this time from the source (the omega) because he got the omegas blood on him
the aliens stopped fighting because they knew they could never win because their only REAL strength (resetting time to learn the humans strategy) was now permanently gone, so they lost the will to fight. with the alpha losing the power, the omega (brain) had a trap set to fix the problem... but now that the omega knew it had NOTHING, AND it knew the humans knew where it was hiding.
so that blast that was detected in france was most likely the equivalent of the worlds biggest telepathic FFFFUUUUUUUUU
I'm really not fond of the idea of the omega *blinking* out of existence because its future-self was killed...
also as to why no one recognised the major... meh... he was just a PR guy for the army... would you recognise the spokesperson for your countries army if you saw him? granted its the pr guy for a GLOBAL ALIEN WAR, but regardless, i doubt most people who were fighting were actually THAT interested in the politics and the promotion of going to war, so it wasn't something that really bothered me...

Amazing movie but then I kinda noticed a plot hole. Didn't ruin the movie for me one bit though.
Spoiler: |
She goes on about how she lost her ability to reset time when she didn't die right away and they gave her a blood transfusion. She never mentioned anyone else before who had said powers. So how did she know she lost them when the transfusion happened? The only way she'd know is if she was killed and then never reset because...SHE DIDNT HAVE THE POWER and she wouldn't have been there any longer. You have to die to know you have the power. How's she still alive after finding out she no longer had the power?

When Tom Cruise loses his power, you also see some glitch in his eyes.

Well, to be honest
Spoiler: | The events of the movie take place directly after the battle she had been wounded. So she might get to the conclusion that she lost the powers after Tom finds her and tells her that she wanted him to meet her. It could use better exposition but I wouldn't call it major plothole. Also she says the logner she had that power the stronger the visions was and they stopped after transfusion. |
Pay more attention squirrel

its not actually fair to call that a plot hole because you dont know how such a power effects the person who has it... its quite possible that after as many uses of the power as she had, that she COULD feel a difference -a loss - when it was gone...
same for tom.
