When will this forum move from 2003 to nowdays? Really why not XenForo or free https://www.simplemachines.org/ ?

Again: Because there's so much customization in the forum software that it's not easy at all to migrate to phpBB 3.x.

Why just not start from scratch? Pretty much creating just light/dark theme, import some smiles and that's about it regarding the specialitise. Obviously migrating the messages shouldn't be a problem?

is it possible to integrate a function that shrinks the Pictures, so the Site layout doesnt go over board?
If that is not possible or too much work, ok i understand..
Thought i just mention it since this is one of teh things i cant stand on this Forum.. 
edit:
rephrasing my sentence...
I mean an auto size function to resize the BIG Pictures.
