Quote:
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles tells the story of Assassins in three diverse locations and time periods for a series of all-new Assassin’s Creed adventures. Each Chronicle will transport players to lush and beautiful surroundings brought to life in a gorgeous art style for a brand new Assassin’s Creed experience.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or brand new to the universe Assassin’s Creed Chronicles will give you all the stealth, action, and intrigue that made Assassin’s Creed one of the biggest franchises in video games today.

    Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: China
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China takes place in China, 1526, as the Ming dynasty starts to crumble. You embody Shao Jun, the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, returning to her homeland with a vendetta. Newly trained by the legendary Ezio Auditore, she is hell-bent on exacting vengeance and restoring her fallen Brotherhood.

    Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: India
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India throws you into the tension between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company in 1841. When a Master Templar arrives with a mysterious item that used to belong to the Assassin Order, Arbaaz Mir must discover why he’s come, steal back the item, and protect his friends and his lover.

    Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: Russia
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia occurs in Russia, 1918. Nikolai Orelov wants to leave with his family, but is required to perform one last mission for the Assassin Order: infiltrate the house where the tsar’s family is being held by the Bolsheviks and steal an artifact that has been fought over by Assassins and Templars for centuries. Along the way, he witnesses the massacre of the tsar’s children, but manages to save the princess, Anastasia. He must escape the Templars while protecting the artifact and Anastasia.

STEALTH TAKES ON A NEW DIMENSION
Embrace the thrill of being a Master Assassin to 2.5D. Scout, sneak, and hide to avoid detection. Fool your enemies by using whistles and disguises. Find your target, kill, and escape.

FAST AND FLUID ASSAULT COURSE
Whether you’re running from danger, scaling obstacles, or climbing stealthily, you will feel that you really can do anything.

MASTER THREE DIFFERENT COMBAT STYLES
Each Assassin is equipped with a powerful range of weapons and distinct gadgets, making every experience unique, with a wide assortment of abilities in your arsenal.

NAVIGATE MULTIPLE PLANES
Switch between fore, mid, and background environments and choose different paths according to your needs. Open new pathways, complete side missions, grab hidden collectibles, or take the quickest path to your target.

ACC China is coming on April 21, India and Russia later this year

Arbaaz Mir and Nikolai Orelov are characters from the Assassins Creed Graphic Novels. Their names are the fall, the chain and brahman.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Noice. I wonder if the season pass owners for Unity get only China, or all three.

They only mentioned China so my guess is that Ubisoft will only offer that one and that it will be the first of the three.

EDIT: As mentioned above. Smile

cause they had to do something like that to reduce the massive image damage which unity brought to them (that action stopped the ubisoft share to drop even more)

They are saving him for the series finale in 2030. It's a safe bet since he's definitely still gonna be in power!

Looks... somewhat "fresh" for the Assassin's Creed's standards, but I wonder how they'll handle platforming and combat in a 2D environment.

Why am I even asking this, it'll be the same single button, only following a linear path grinhurt

I could only think of one way to make the franchise worse. Make the games 2D, so exploring interesting locations would be completely gone from the games.

They've gone and done did it.

The China Chronicles was supposed to be a DLC... making it a three way story (alright that would be a bit of an V ripoff) but like Unity with smaller areas but then three different places.

That would be something I'd be keen of. Opposed to the victorian London.

China Chronicles was never supposed to be DLC, it was a separate games which was part of the Unity season pass.

Some quotes from reviews
Quote:
Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China has the makings of a good 2D Prince of Persia re-awakening, but it lacks a lot of character both aesthetically and mechanically. Still, there's very little actually wrong with it if you're looking for another platformer to add to your pile. Hopefully future iterations of the Chronicles subseries can build upon the foundation that China has provided.

Quote:
Chronicles might be a little tame in places and lack enough variety to keep you interested for long, but it has a charm I feel the other Assassin’s Creed games now lack.

still, the way are milking this franchish might put COD to the shame soon.
