Starts on Friday bitches! Are you ready or what? This is the first movie I'm actually looking forward to seeing this year!!!!

Doing good so far in the "un-professsional" review category too (I guess more newspaper reviews towards the release date):
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/sin_city/

This is from one of the few negative reviews there are (don't they say so much more than the positive reviews?), but I think it makes it sound good. Obviously this reviewer ain't a big fan af Takashi Miike ... dunno .. maybe I'm depraved?

"Sin City, perhaps best described as film noir on steroids, is a movie that’s so cool you’re not supposed to be concerned about its total lack of moral grounding. Nor its profound sexism. Nor its misanthropic nihilism. This is a movie for people who hate people. And why is it cool to like stories about little more than corruption, greed, hate and violence? Just because it is.
...
The three stories that make up most of the movie – each based on one of Miller’s graphic novels – concern corrupt cops, politicians and clergy, angry hookers, sexual monsters, and male protagonists who don’t hesitate to pound a bad guy’s head into mush. It’s apparently cool to cheer on decapitation, bullet-riddled bodies and gunshots to the back or crotch, so Sin City provides cool people with plenty to cheer about. Those of us less cool, though, are left at a loss."

Yeah? But it has some class actors in it. Were they all on bad form?

There's something about their characters that could have made the acting this way, but also Robert Rodriguez's directing isn't that great. Del Toro, Madsen, Owen and Mickey Rourke should have been a lot better. Sad

The bad reviews are semi correct and the good reviews give it too much credit.

If the talking would have been good then the movie would have been good. It wasn't as convincing or displayed any potential these actors have.

The action was straight out of the comic. You felt the punches, the kicks, the bullet piercing everything. But with all the little touches it still wasn't that great Sad

But I guess I'm wrong. I sat there bored out of my head and people around me were in awe. They laughed, the oOooOhed, they screamed, they jumped they did it all and I just sat there waiting for this movie to finish Crying or Very sad I so wanted to walk out.

You know, I have to wonder sometimes what people want out of a movie. Some people you just cant please. I agree Hostage wasnt that great of a movie, but I found this movie to be great. It had good actors like Clive Owen and Bruce Willis.

Although I am sick of everyone saying Clive Owen for the next James Bond... doesnt quite have the potential to pull it off.

It's a noir movie. It'll have that voice over constantly throughout the movie. And I don't get how you say it has bad acting. I thought the acting was right on for the most part.

I didn't find the movie to be boring at all. For a movie that was over 2 hrs it went by pretty quick for me. I enjoyed every minute of it. Hell I wish it was longer cause I thought the last story was too short.

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.
