Sony and Microsoft schedule PS3 and Xbox 360 unveilings for the same afternoon

Well I guess I was wrong about them unveiling the consoles so soon. However, some of these sites you cant trust. Like Spong for instance.

Oh, it was? I missed that. I saw the article about the 4 ghz processing cell tho.
Well than I guess the PS3's graphics is ready. Didnt think it would be. Well I hope they have a nice video coverage on this.

According to this german source Microsoft will now present their XBOX2 on may 12/13th. Elijah Wood and The Killers present a show on MTV to introduce the XBOX2. The show airs worldwide under the title "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed" (30mins)

Uh, why would MS host this shit on MTV? Wouldnt they do it on Tech TV or MSNBC? I dont want to see a bunch of hiphop celebration with the XBox 2. I just want to see what it could do along with the specs. Also, since Sony and MS say their consoles are done... I want to see a demo. Not a Tech Demo because both systems are complete.

Don't think Sony have said theirs is done?, this is just a major spoiler tatic that cannot be missed on their part, Xbox360 is scheduled for winter 2005 release.
Thing is you got to remember the xbox will be released USA/Europe first where as Sony is Japan the Usa then Europe. So Microsoft will have big headstart here in Uk as Sony's machine probably won't hit Uk shores till xmas 2006 a year later than xbox360

So? The XBox did the same thing last time when it got released. It waited for Sony to release its PS2. Plus, Sony has said their done. Did you not read the press conference? The one about the graphics research? Also, where was it that Xbox360 was scheduled for winter 2005? Theres no exact date however. I dont take what they say seriouslly unless its official. Shit gets delayed all the time. We learned that with games and consoles in the past.
Well you can probably estimate when Sony will release theirs, but it wont be right. The PSP hit the Japan market before the US. Thats how Sony does things, they work from Japan. Its also a marketing tactic by them. It sells well and than theres hype, than more people buy. No matter what company it is, they always have hype. And in reality, it doesnt matter which console is released "first". It matters which console has the all around best games.
Personally, I see alot of bans coming up. I see that when both these consoles get released, theres gonna be a big flame war. Some idiot is going to set up a thread dedicated to the XBox 360 vs. PS3. 
Also, consoles are different than games. Theres production on all the hardware, and their not going to release it until they have millions of each part and that might even delay it. The same goes for the PS3. Sony spent 400 million on research for graphics. Their not going to release the PS3 until they have all the parts made and enough to ship out millions of units. Its more complicated than that.
Just dont expect to see a release date so soon other than presentations. I dont think they'd release the PS3 or XBox 360 so soon with so many good games TBA on 4th quarter 2005. If anything, when a new console gets released, the games start getting produced for the new console. The old one gets phased out month by month. Games still get released, but not many.

Oh yea, its a sure fact they will start up. I can see it now. It puts the SC3 thread to shame. Gonna have like 1000 pages. I'm sure the mods will be pissed.
