Thanks for linking it, seems better than regular adblock, because it includes thirdparty ad-analytics and social stuff. I replaced my adblock + ghostery(which blocks ad analytics + social shit) with this and it seems to work very well. It even includes very basic noscript thing, but that part of the interface needs a little better work, its confusing Razz

Just remove ##headerright

(note to admins: I know ads keep the site running, but it's not like we're using/buying hosting and it's not like viewing every page increases funds by clicking.. so please don't be mad! <3)

New? Laughing it already exists +1 year

uBlock is great but i highly suggest the addon HTTP Switchboard from the same developer (also opensourced on github). HTTP Switchboard is like NoScript for firefox and includes all features from uBlock

and jesus fuckin christ, stop using ghostery... it's tracking and selling your browsing behaviour!!

Only if you enabled Ghostrank, so just disable it and nothing is tracked. I still use Ghostery as it blocks more than Disconnect + ABP and Social Filters. I don't use DoNotTrackMe as it didn't find anything anymore on all sites I'm browsing after Disconnect and Ghostery.

that's because you should use the right adblock in firefox => Adblock Edge

Adblock Edge + Disconnect = 100% solution and both are FOSS

Ghostery is proved to be evil, your logic doesn't make sense as even your ABP is evil

Why is ABP evil? Because you have to uncheck a checkbox one time?

I already use Adblock Edge (I switched over when they launched). Nothing wrong with Ghostery, it blocks more than Disconnect.

I doubt its ABE, with ~100 tabs open Firefox uses only 800MB here (I have around 20 extensions).

even better than µBlock is µMatrix, the new version of µSwitchboard (all from the same person)...
µMatrix is great! You can manually block stuff using clicks like in adblock, but it's much lighter and faster, just need to figure out how it works... but its easy.

If you want something real easy stick to µBlock though, it mostly just works.

edit: I was using the fox+adblockplus for many, many months now and came back to chrome with this extension. It is so much faster Crying or Very sad sorry foxy, guess I will have to stick to evil gugle.

What does that have to do with ublock?

Besides, it's not any of your business if somebody else is not bothered by being tracked. I couldn't give a shit, I buy barely anything anyway. I'm just a useless entry in their database. Spy away! Of course, I tick the EasyPrivacy in uBlock, but that's about all I am bothered to do about it.

So I'm using µMatrix, which is the same as µBlock but more advanced, and I'm being tracked... like, I searched google for some product, then I opened a website where I didn't block the ads yet, and it was showing that product. WTF?

Well you used google and google tracks your each search anyway, no blocker will help against it. Maybe the ad was served from google adsense. Not sure how well all these blockers work, i'm sure you can't block 100% everything. Or maybe it was just coincidence Very Happy or maybe its illuminati tracking you! Mr. Green
