in the past couple of years some weird and ironic phenomenon has emerged. im referring to this "superior pc race" thing. okay at first it was funny and all, but the more time moves on the more gamers actually take this silliness seriously. i mean no matter the platform one can still enjoy gaming. i occasionally play on my ps3/4 as well as on my pc. i dont care about the fact one game on one "inferior" platform has like only dx9 capability and slower fps, or whatever. i do enjoy playing on consoles becuse i feel comortable sitting on the couch with my big-ass screen and 7.1 surround system.

sometimes i think some people take gaming way too seriously. like its a job. like everything has to be RIGHT. and then complaining and whining and wasting lots of time about it on forums.

chill out. my focus and stress is put on my investment field. now thats a topic ones entitled to whine about Smile

Nice first post Smile

Yes, I agree. I've said this before, doesn't matter which platform you play on, we are all gamers. Console, pc, handheld... we all have a passion for gaming.

I take pc master race as a joke though, even though I am primarily a pc gamer I have been on my ps4 almost non stop the past 2 months Smile

Same here. I play games for fun and to relax from work.

But some people seem to have too much free time. So they waste most of their energy on hating even the smallest problems/bad news regarding a game. Wink

Has it now?

My, was I was blind to this, thanks for pointing this issue out.

I think if that couch is standing out as such a plus, you should maybe invest in a better desk environment. No not criticism just an observation. It's very important to be comfortable while gaming no?

Personally I play games on all platforms but I do so at my desk \o/ Unless you've telescopic vision, or a 102" TV, playing from a sofa always felt uncomfortable to me. I prefer my comfy desk chair with my PC monitor a metre away from my face Very Happy

Console fags everywhere. Rolling Eyes

We know very well the console casuals press-A-for-awesome-genereation has no idea what gaming is all about and it eats up every shit the publishers throw at them. Console fags are directly responsible for the destruction of many franchises and the direct implementation of trans-gender-gay-bi-sex into all our beloved and cherished games.

I'm staying with Baldurs Gate II.

edit: Also, whoever said gaming should be fun has no idea what they are talking about. When I'm about to start a new Morrowind play-through, I need at least two days of modification, which is real hard work. Mad

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Very Happy So who was it this time? cnZ? Cohen? Another classic member? The whole "new member posts inflammatory comment whilst bigging up "big ass" TVs, couches, 7.1 surround systems and mentioning being an investment banker" schtick was just far too obvious. Sounds like Cohen to me grinhurt

Regardless, I do agree that "PC only" elitism is damaging and has a negative impact on the reputation of PC gamers that aren't "elitist", they just want an experience befitting their hardware and not some sloppy port with hideous controls, lack of options and piss-poor optimisation. There's nothing wrong with most console GAMES, just the systems themselves.. IMO.

I always have a surge of gaming when I buy a new comp. I'm looking forward to buying something I can game not on low or ultra low this time Laughing
