Yeah the rumour has been floating around since EA got the license. Still nothing solid yet. And next year? That strikes me as highly unlikely, especially with complete radio silence so far. Whatever they are working on, I would say late 2016/early 2017 is a far safer bet.

As much as I love Obsidian, no they should not. Did you forget the ENDING to KotOR2? They just fucking slapped on some half-assed cinematics that made absolutely no sense and shipped it out the door.
That still haunts me as one of the biggest "fuck you" moments a developer has thrown at a gamer. It hurt even more-so because it was THEM. They lost all rights and privileges to the franchise after that stunt/mismanagement in my opinion.

They were the developer and in my eyes that means they're saddled with the ultimate responsibility of the finished (or in this case unfinished) product. Maybe next time they'll think twice before getting into bed with Lucas Arts. That's one slight I'll never forgive them, they can play the blame game all they fuckin' want.
