The Old City is an adventure in the mind. Dealing heavily with epistemology, the overall objective of the work is to present a clear and coherent philosophical message in a deep and meaningful world of allegory in which you will be forced to make personal choices in a nonlinear but directed story.
Featuring music from Atrium Carceri, a very talented composer, and the voice of Ryan Cooper, who is also very talented, The Old City will make you think while exploring. The more you explore, the more you will potentially understand.
Yep. You only ever interact with doors (to open them ) and collectibles (to collect them; they're pretty rare - 6-7 in the whole game). The game's less than an hour - you explore while listening to the narrator's remarks and reading a few scattered pages here and there. It's a visually engaging game but nothing going beyond that.
