Can't they fish sensitive information of your steam account that way? What if the owner of the addon decides to sell his addon to someone else (as it happened several times already!) and they then have all the data of your account.

That seemed inordinately low at first, until I realised that it only tracks what you've spent on the Steam store and not the off-site purchases and keys you've purchased. Still... only $1k in the store? Over a decade? Eghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that seems unbelievably low.... Neutral

Steam level is based not just on game ownership but primarily on community interaction; largely built around card collecting, badge creating and community event participation. I sell all my card drops, never buy cards from the market, almost never constructed any badges, and only tend to have "level 1" badges from community events -- hence, low Steam "level" Smile

My game ownership gives "Game Industry Guardian" badge and it's only worth 1298xp.
