The game got very bad reviews. I'd imagine they'd lose more money than it was worth for porting it to the PC. Also, Ghost Recon 2 is very glitchy.

Well i don't know if you can call it bad. The graphics for xbox are stuning and the weapons are preatty cool. There are some negatives of course but nothing you can't overlook. The maps are cool and the multiplayer is fun. Ya some of the old Gr fans dident like it cause it dident have the two teams control like the old one. But i would say that this game very good indead. |

for xbox it actually got pretty good reviews. 83%, i wouldnt stretch it as far as to call that very bad.
there was different versions of the game. obviously this was the version pc would have gotten.

Good. I have to agree w/ the others on GR sucking. Played it on the XBox and it felt like GR1. =\
dyn IP addys, subnet & mac spoofs, email routing, and if all else fails, wi-fi. banned? lol, its more like brb. =p

Yea, one site said that. You cant predict what the PC version would have. Reason is because it aint out. Now you GR fans aint going to like what I'm about to say, but its an honest opinion.
First of all. There was ALOT of video reviews of this on TV. Especially on Game TV show. Now, normally alot of reviews are bs, but when a bunch of them are negatives, that tells you something. So I decided to play the game for XBox. The storyline wasnt altogether that great. It was set in North Korea and it kinda delved off the whole thing by putting you into battle with your team. Alot of the doors, areas, places were glitchy. You can shoot through them. It also gets repetitive. Now the first Ghost Recon was a good game. They just screwed up the sequel imo. But it is just imo. Thats like taking a game like The Punisher and calling it either bad or good. The game got mixxed reviews but I thought Punisher was awesome. Many people said it was too much like a Max Payne clone when they were wrong. Cant lower the score of a game for that. You also cant lower the score for Ghost Recon 2 just because its another team combat game. I think Ghost Recon 2 failed in the repetitive, sound, and glitch department. The storyline didnt all fall together.
Also, I dont buy into the fact that them even trying to do Ghost Recon 2 for the PC would be a failure because of it being a port. I believe they can get the graphics and things right. The fact is, they wouldnt be making all their money back because it didnt do so well on the XBox. I hope they do make Ghost Recon 3 right though. The areas where they failed in GR 2, I hope they fix in GR 3.

Don't be, it's console trash - something which is a pity, as the original is a classic of it's genre - I kid you not. Piracy is having an adverse effect on the industry at last it seems.

It all boils down to money the industry will go where it is most profitable for them. Glad doom3 and halflife didn't come out on consoles first or else we will get another port. lol, but back on topic, i for one only played ghost recon 2 with friends haven't even touched the single player component of it, never will now a days i lose interest quickly in single player games. hopefully GR3 will be developed for the PC first and console second i'm sure it is easier to scale down than up. just my two cents.

i dont think we will see anymore PC first releases with the new console generation,so all what we will get in the future for PC will be ports from XBOX 2...

The thing that pisses em off the most in this...is that they bothered to make the game on GameCube and everybody knows that most GameCube owner doesnt give a fuck of that kind of game but they cancel it on PC.
Shooters on GameCube are horrible but they still get the game that PC doesnt

the bottom line is,GR2 sucks SHIT,so they have chossen not 2 give it to the "true" GR fans (pc gamers),i just hope like fuck that GR3 will live up to a try GR replacement!,and not some crappy console port(which it more than likely will be)

Yea, right. The R6 series is one of the most realistic shooters out there. I agree Rogue Spear was better in terms of gameplay, but RavenShield was quite good also.

Thankfully, they canceled GR2. I saw the scoops on pc gamer a few months ago and GR2 looked like that shit called Conflict Desert Storm
