alien planet.... how does his little computer know where the key needed to open the door is? It looks cool but that looked more of like a hand-holding interactive story than a game.

Exactly why I'm more into the MP survival games than SP, as SP ones will have lots more hand holding for the whole "cinematic experience"

Not bad! The developers are a cool bunch. I found both The Ball and Unmechanical highly enjoyable, and judging from the video this one will likely follow that trend as well.
Out on Steam via early-access, game is nearly finished but the content will be released gradually throughout the early-access period so for now only the three first levels are available.
Oh and yes the game is a adventure game with survival and exploration elements and it is linear with roughly 5 - 9 hours of content in the full version depending on if you explore for secrets or just follow the path to the end.
This is not a sandbox survival game although there are survival mechanics such as managing food and water, heat and cold and various weather elements.
(It's explained somewhat vague in the Steam description if you just have quick skim through it so yeah at the moment there's a lot of posts on the community forums on how it's a failure and disappointment and false advertisement for not being another Planet Explorers or The Forest.)
Also for being UE4 it runs really well so far unless you push the resolution slider above 100% (Supersampling.) and it also has full access to the debug console so you can tweak the game further and the in-game options also lets you fine tune the difficulty level somewhat from just casual exploration to deadly survival.
EDIT: In short I like the game from what little I played so far but keep in mind it's a adventure game and linear and not a open-ended sandbox survival game, also while it is linear you are free to backtrack at any time should you desire to do so.
(Ten levels all in all in the final release as I understood it it's split between five large islands and five large tombs.)
Damn you hypothermia!!
I can say that the game has some really wow moments like some huge storms and tornadoes unscripted. This version is alittle rough but def enjoying this..i mean if only i could get warm..
Edit: Now this is a true explorers find:
