I have quiet a few USB devices connected to my PC, in fact all USB slots are used!
I have:
MSFFB2 joystick
CH Pro Throttle
Track IR
TM G27 wheel
3D mouse
MS dongle for Xbox360 controller
I have issues because all of these peripherals are usually always attached. So i will get problems with games and apps picking up on the wrong device.
So i'm pulling the usb leads from the back, which is a pain in the ass. I'm getting fed up of working out which is which, then digging around in a rats nest of wires to re-connect the correct leads. What are my options?
I've seen these USB Switches which turn one usb slot into multiple connections. How does this work, can you connect more than one gaming peripheral at a time in just one slot. Surely not, and just one slot to power many devices!
Ideally what i need is to input all of the leads into a box and then switch the ones of i don't need.
There are self powered USB Hubs and I think that is what would suit you.
Don't go for the ones without their own power supply, there are many types even ones where you can turn on and off every slot. So do some searching (USB Hubs in search engine)
There shouldn't be any conflicts with most devices run on that one line, but I can't guarantee that there won't be at all.
