WOW im on roll Very Happy

Directly from the official JE forum.

How do I access the Bonus Character "Monk Zeng" included with the Limited Edition of Jade Empire?

1.) Place the Limited Edition Bonus Content Disk into your Xbox.

2.) Select "Monk Zeng Content" which is the first option available in the menu.

3.) Press the "A" button on your Xbox controller to unlock the Monk Zeng character and his Monk Spade fighting Style.

4.) Remove the Limited Edition Bonus Content Disk from your Xbox.

5.) Place the Jade Empire game disk in your Xbox and restart it.

6.) Monk Zeng will now be available via the "Character Selection" screen when you start a new game

So basically LE Version has 2 discs, 1st disc the game 2nd the bonus+extra character

no ned for thatdelimastah Smile

the info is, this disc conatins the extra videos (making of...etc.) and the new character and fighting style. you put this disc in first then put the real jade empire in after loading the new stuff and you can access it liek that, dont know if it will really work like that with the dvd5....not sure really.

yes it almost is, fucking 12 year olds, "oohh look at me i made the thread im so coool" its so fucking lame, and then they cant even post a proper thread, whats the point with a thread were it says "the game is out" we already know, we read it on the first page, or at any other location on the net.

I can confirm that it works from HDD. BUT: There's a message saying "updating Xbox Live account" or something like that. So I guess people who are using Xbox Live on their modded rigs should be careful when starting the bonus disc.

Anyway, since I don't care about Xbox Live at all, I waited for it to finish updating, then it automatically rebooted and after that let me choose the bonus character, a making of and two other options I cannot remember. So I chose the bonus character thingy, restarted my Xbox, booted up Jade Empire and there he was, Monk Zeng. You can easily delete the bonus disc from your HDD after that if you want, it's not needed any longer (well, except if you want to watch the making of which I wouldn't recommend before finishing the game).

That's all there is to say.

Don't worry the making of spoils nothing, as i just finished watching it. It is from G4TV and aired sometime which i can't remember. It's just a bunch of behind the scene stuff about what they researched and how to play the game a bit. No spoilers at all.
The other options are are Mechassault and Forza demo's and a trailer for the DVD Strategy Guide.
All in all a bit of a waste of bandwidth but i guess it's only 2 Gigs so what the hell Smile

Also i just found you can download the making of feature in high quality freely from the Bioware website.. so if you don't want that monk dude there really isn't any point in downloading this bonus disk.

I'm getting that same error message also. I also tried setting my xbox to PAL but that just makes the game hang at black screen >.<. I tried looking at xboxscene but still can't find a solution for it *sigh* Sad. Can anyone help getting this to work off HHD please?

Yup I finally did it Smile

The problem is that damn 0 byte file called "Preorder"

That pice of crap has to be in your save otherwise you wont unlock the monk.

So let's say you have a folder called "MONK"..monk content

go to folde called booster/and package and then you'll see preorder.txt...

I normally use flashfxp to ftp, but that was the whole problem. It won't transfer a obyte file properly..in most cases the date get's corrupt, well fo me.

So for me the problem was the 0byte file... get another client like this one (i used) Ipswitch WS_FTP Pro...

Funny, it wasn't me who discovered this problem, it was another user Smile
