Today's feature of 'Slipstream' by ansdor, stood out in a crowd of Steam Greenlight games, as not only does it have those colourful visuals of our retro past such as the atmosphere of 80’s and 90’s games like OutRun, Daytona USA, Super Hang-On and Sonic the Hedgehog but it also has a retrotastic soundtrack to boot!
If you loved those 80's and 90's arcade racers such as OutRun, Daytona USA, Super Hang-On, or the fantastic Amiga game Lotus Turbo Challenge, then heads up because I think we have the Kickstarter for you! This is ' Slipstream ' developed by Noctet Studio, an arcade racing game inspired by the visuals, music, games and cars from some of the greatest racers we've come to know growing up, all built in a custom game engine!
This is fun, but damn it's rough around the edges. It comes with a full JRE embedded Fullscreen is broken due to silly Java nonsense, etc. Would have been much better served if written in C++ + SDL.
