Blizzard All-Stars is the developer’s take on the MOBA genre. It was first revealed back in 2010 but aside from a recently leaked MOBA map called ‘Defense of the Alehouse‘ being discovered within the World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, the studio has stayed silent on the issue, until now. It’s being “actively worked on” right now, according to Blizzard.
Speaking with Eurogamer, StarCraft 2 production director Chris Sigaty stated, “We’re actively working on it. That I can confirm. A lot of the stuff that’s remaining right now that we need to focus on are the systems necessary to pull off a game with a different business model than StarCraft 2.

Every version that they've shown has apparently been scrapped so they can start again.
I'm convinced it was originally just a ploy to act like they were working on Dota so they could sue/stop Valve from making Dota 2.
Now they're just trying to keep it going out of shame like that episode of Seinfeld where George Costanza kept lying about his house in the Hamptons

Typical Blizzard development process. Spend 10 years developing a game, scrap it 5000 times, then pile up a bunch of crap into something in the end and finally release with a bunch of fake promises and 50% of the content not in the game on release.

I guess you have never played a trading card game in real life.
Use to play Yu-Gi-Oh back in days and I spent quite a bit of money each month to buy new cards.
But the game is a huge letdown, thought it would be something more cool but I was quite expecting this and not anything else.

Blizzard has been putting a lot of focus on Blizzard All-Stars, their upcoming free-to-play online game. Action RTS games have become increasingly popular over the years; Blizzard is looking to put their own spin on this genre, and challenge some of the existing design paradigms. They have reached a significant internal milestone, with Blizzard All-Stars going into wider internal testing. Blizzard will have more to say about the game later this year.

I'm looking moba to this one very much.

They announce their games way too early. Ill look into it when theres actually a release date... i remember in 2008 when D3 was announced and it felt like its developing is already far ahead.
