MR. ROBOT is a psychological thriller that follows Elliot (Rami Malek, 24), a young programmer, who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater, The Adderall Diaries) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. This contemporary and culturally resonant drama also stars Portia Doubleday (Her), Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory) and Martin Wallstrom (Easy Money III).
From Universal Cable Productions, MR. ROBOT is executive produced by Sam Esmail (Comet) and Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin (True Detective) and Chad Hamilton (Breakup at a Wedding).

OK.. DON'T watch WEB-DL versions. They are censored.

F.. society
What's interesting, they didn't have a problem with "shit" apparently but I already heard two "fucks" that were pronounced in a censored way It's kinda strange. So fuck is worse than shit?
I downloaded 720p HDTV version and fucks are not censored.
Indeed strange that WEB-DL is censored and not HDTV. Usually the other way around AFAIK.
Also, I thought USA Network didn't use the F-word. "Shit" is used in many 'basic' cable shows though.
sirens was for USA too but it aired on showtime here
Same with this... it's USA but it'll air on showtime or showcase or whatever
where swearing is allowed.

I watched it until the end which says a lot. Maybe because it was set in NYC. Good story, acting, some hot chicks and computers. I'll continue to watch it..Sickbeard added..
The first episode showed some potential. Maybe it's because I was expecting something cringe-y, but it wasn't bad, pretty solid performances actually and decent direction/production values/pacing. Nothing mind-blowing or super-smart, but could be good.
Sometimes it's almost like watching a misanthrope version of Watch Dogs like Hfric mentioned, but at least the protagonist here doesn't suck
That app kicks ass, thanks! So much easier than having to trawl IMDB for dates.

Tried the pilot and loved it. It's like The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, except there's no girl. Or tatoo
Cool stuff, pretty solid acting too - even though you do have to get used to the guy's way of delivering lines. But it fits, it's part of his charm (or lack thereof ).
If I had to point out one fault it would be that the pilot kinda had too much crammed into it. It felt like it was moving too fast at times, trying to show too many different things and arcs. It's not a big deal, though, and other than that it was really entertaining. Also:
Spoiler:
Have you noticed how the narration - and, by extension, what we see - is actually warped by his perception/delusions? Like, for example, in one of the scenes near the end, the woman speaking on TV actually says "Evil Corp" and it's also present in the headline, even though we can be pretty certain no sane/respectable news outlet would use that term in this way. It basicly means we can't be 100% sure of what we're seeing on screen Cool stuff
Great start. If it doesn't turn procedural it might become something to remember.

tbh it feels like a gimmick, the show isn't that ridiculously deep for some kind of humongous plot twist to occur, ie. him being schizophrenic or whatever
