Dayum, imagine making (producing/directing) this film thinking "surely the VFX companies will deliver" and footage starts coming in and it looks as terri-shit as it does. Feel bad for the people who were conned to put their money in this.

Wtf is that? Who directed this? These bike attacks would be impossible for a VFX studio to turn into something realistic-looking. And with the extra work+fake of the Deepfake face. But this studio failed harder than most would, I assume.
Will Smith has had some good roles and a respectable career, why is he doing this to himself?!
Ang Lee is a respectable director. This movie was shot at 120 fps, so I assume some of the weirdness comes from that.

I don't know how to make it more clear it looks bad to me as well, I'm just offering an explanation on how that happened.

I watched a trailer with an action scene with unrealistic physics and bad VFX on the faces on Youtube at simple 720p @ 24fps. And you say that it looks bad because it was shot at 120fps?
I don't understand. Also, "it is an Ang Lee movie, he is respectable" is not an argument for why it looks like cheap shit.
Bad VFX on the faces = that's how I felt with digital/deaged characters in other films, it's not exclusive to this film. Tarkin in Rogue One?
Unrealistic physics = I postulate it is a result of being animated for 120 fps.

Meh, HFR needs a bloody good (or at least bloody popular) film to get audiences' butts in the theaters if they want the technology to succeed.
