Across all dimensions, the only constant is Darkness! A procedurally generated RPG-roguelike journey across the multiverse!
In One Way Heroics, you take on the role of an intrepid adventurer who must travel across the land and face the Demon Lord before a mysterious darkness engulfs everything.
Darkness always approaches from the left, and with each movement, attack and action you take, the darkness creeps ever closer. Forced to run right, you'll encounter any number of monsters, allies, thieves and shops on your desperate journey to stop the end of everything.
The good news is that you don't just have access to one world. You have access to all of them. Born with the mysterious power to travel to other dimensions, you can choose which dimension you wish to travel to in order to get to the Demon Lord.
Dimensions vary based on their name. One might be full of lush forest landscapes full of adorable animals and cunning thieves, while another might be full of corrupted hellscapes infested with demons. You might find likeminded heroes willing to journey with you, or you might meet no one and be forced to venture into the unknown alone.
Like a dimension you previously visited? Simply input the name at the Dimensional selection screen before you begin your journey. Want to try your luck with a random dimension? Type any word that pops into your head, and watch as One Way Heroics builds you a world based on the name you chose.
I've completed the game once and failed at least 12 times and I'd say the game is a solid roguelike with plenty of good features. I played it more than I've played Thief so far.
The game doesn't look too sophisticated, rivalling RPGmaker in terms of animoo art, but it's a well designed game that plays well.
I can't really fault it, other than it's low level of graphics. There's plenty of challenge, a bunch of things to unlock, even a competitive scene of sorts.
Good fun if you like roguelike style games, though a bit easier thanks to the progression system.
My swordmaster(who I completed the game with) became a complete monster with his haste-plate and flame katana, I murdered the demonlord without him even getting a turn
So far I haven't been able to replicate the awesomeness of multi-strikes from the swordmaster class.
Only real tip I have for others is make sure you secure an Axe for destroying walls and chests quickly, they're heavy and not so good for combat (unless you have a bit of agility), but so useful in a pinch.
Sorry, no review from me as I have not played it enough to know much about it. Seems pretty straight forward though. Someone that enjoys traditional roguelikes should have fun with this, I prefer more action oriented games. I like the seeded worlds, the unlocks and ability to vault items for the next playthrough though.
Seems like there is some new version planned to eb released as DLC on steam:

One Way Heroics + is an upcoming game by SmokingWOLF. A playable demo was shown at BitSummit in Kyoto, including a playable Ninja class. Wielding a sword and the power of the Force, the Force Knight is an all-around well balanced class.

Ninjas can dish out incredible burst DPS and move at amazing speeds, but all at the cost of their own life.
Tourist
A seemingly pathetic class that comes armed with a camera, a travel journal, and awful stats.
It may be difficult, but if you manage to complete your travel journal... a special ending will definitely be waiting for you

Nice, own it and all I get is a lousy 10% off on a dlc that is twice the price of the game...
I regret buying this in the first place, it wasn't even that good a game, a really poor constantly timed stressful rogue-lite, but this "costs more than the base game and existing owners/customers get jack shit" stuff is just
It's a new one released today. Remake or something?
