Shenmue 3 was announced at E3 and a Kickstarter campaign is up (PC is one of the release platforms):

The Kickstarter page elaborates that if the campaign were to reach its goal, it will be officially released on PlayStation 4 and PC, with no mention of an Xbox One release.

Man... I couldn't sleep after FO4 announcement. Now my sleep is totally fucked because of the excitement I got out of this and the FF7 remake

I hope they get to release the first two games as well on PC (remastered or vanilla, it's not too important as long as they work fine), so that I finally have the chance to try them. This announcement awakened my curiousity

Demul is more accurate, NullDC is faster. You may encounter flicking shadows on either emulator, just play around with the "sorting" options. Either way, regardless of Demul/Makaron/NullDC, they're both fully playable to the best of my recollection.

Nice, I wasn't aware that they're both fully playable, thanks . Will try to download everything in the next days hoping that the PC doesn't implode during the emulation. |

Keep clicking refresh on the kickstarter page it is going up nearlly 1000 Dollars a few seconds, for the time being anyway :O

Hrm, I can't see how he could make something akin to the originals in size and scope in this day and age for less than 25-50 mil. Even if the KS goes gangbusters, I assume it will probably top out around 5 mil.

Sony will definitely help out, 2 million is a ridiculous goal for a Shenmue game. they would be committing career suicide without promise of other backing.
No developer would volunteer years of their life on something that can never be completed.
The problem with kick starter is it has a ceiling, so 2 million is them being polite and basically proving to the "money guys" that this can work.
Unreal 4 also means it might not cost soooooooooo much thought, but yeah id say 15-20 million is likely.
