i tend to get them when i get a head-rush, i always thought it was where the analogy "seeing stars" came from.
Same here, actually. I'd never bothered to look up the phenomenon and read what it was really about .. I just figured it was natural and happened to everyone. It's pretty though, heh.
Thank jesus, I finally know what those are...
Seriously, thank you Leo I experienced them the first time couple years back (or that was when I noticed them) and up to now I feared my eyesight was going bye bye.
Thanks for the wikipedia article there
yeah, me too. When I look at the blue sky i see them, also in the snow if I concentrate
But yeah, you really can see them heavily when you sneeze hard. They are really bright for me when I sneeze tho... and they are there for about 5 sec, open and close my eyes sometimes... and they are gone
strange thing... I got them when I was about 13, and been there since lol!
As I understand it those things aren't normally going away?
But in some cases they can be removed?
Why should you have that done? It's not like their harmful and by time you get used to them
Plus I only really see them in the morning on white walls and in the blue sky

That's a diff thing. That's related to high blood pressure:D
you get up too fast. you see them. you have a hot bath and you get up. you'll see them.

floaters are different.
No they are not
I got them all the time when the sky is blue

Floaters are particularly noticeable when looking at a blank surface or an open monochromatic space, such as blue sky.
It also fits perfectly to the description of the first link, most people experience them as teens and in their 20s. And my blood pressure is fine^^ like who the hell have problem with that when they are 13. Doesn't see shit when I stand up fast btw.
Hm. Gotta get my eyes checked out by a doc anyway (something everybody should do every couple of years)
Now I just have to find out what those things are called in German

checked mine when I first noticed those floaters, and they where perfectly fine Had them for 7 years, and if the article are right I guess they will be gone by we are 30+
edit: Those I have when I sneeze are different from those I see in the sky^^
they to me are like dust particles or clear cells, is the only way i can describe them, that just bob along the fluid on ur eye lol.
sounds exactly like mine. Someone with skills should make a good illustration vid of his/her. They come in various sizes and stuff tho, so its hard to tell whats common :/
Just tried looking at a white wall
I noticed exactly two of those dots and a small squiggly line wandering around my fov so I don't care too much.
Gonna tell my doc about when I see him the next time. Whenever I find time to go...
bah im talking about these lil balls of glowy light that are like all over the eye. it happens when you have a headrush. climbing 10 sets of stairs in one go and then looking up they'll pop up.

You never notice them if there is some contrast tho, so they doesn't bother me much. Some people are bothered more than others, but threating floaters is not recommenced... there can be complications that can ruin your sight for good. So live with them
Asked my grandmother about it and she said she had them when she was 20, but they are gone now. She is 69 tho Anyway, sounds like its very different from people to people.
I have them almost all the time. If i look at a pure white wall in a well lit room. Also, 90% of the time i look up at the sky. It freaked me out at first as well, but looked it up a long time ago. It's crazy sometimes they seem so close it's like you could almost reach out and grab them.
Ah well!

but seeing those similar things (just smaller and brighter) while i sneeze iv just had for a year or so. I have a feeling others also see them as very bright too... unless people sneeze while they look at a bright wall or up in the sky witch I doubt^^
Nah, I get some small floaters when looking toward anything, not just white surfaces or the sky. They are like "dancing" in-place or something.
yeah, I can notice them other places too, but they are not as annoying (for me at least)
Anyway, sounds just like the big round shade that most people got one one of their eyes; very common That thing is also kinda annoying if you think about it.

Floaters are little "cobwebs" or specks that float about in your field of vision. They are small, dark, shadowy shapes that can look like spots, thread-like strands, or squiggly lines. They move as your eyes move and seem to dart away when you try to look at them directly. They do not follow your eye movements precisely, and usually drift when your eyes stop moving.
Most people have floaters and learn to ignore them; they are usually not noticed until they become numerous or more prominent. Floaters can become apparent when looking at something bright, such as white paper or a blue sky.

Wow I get those too, usually when I look at sky. I never wondered what those were, but never really got upset about them. That was kind of a funky thing, and I went along with it
