So... 2nd world problems
Basically my job is to perform a quick QC on apples rolling down a conveyor belt whilst packing them in small bags which are in turn put into black crates. I was in a bit of a pickle when the apples that were being sorted on my belt were too big to put in the crate in a regular way without forcing them in, and in result bruising them, which is bad, so I got creative and even consulted my supervisor regarding my technique, which she approved of and gave me a condescending pat on the head(that bitch). Few hours later, an older, somewhat demented co-worker in duty of labelling aforementioned bags, didn't adapt to my superior methods and was sticking the labels on at a wrong angle, which infuriated my boss's son. Calmly, he had a talk with me that I should be packing the bags the ''ol regular way, mate" and it was that. 10 minutes later he screams out my name and before I can turn around I see a 220-255g Royal Gala apple flying towards my head at timespace bending speed, and just barely I manage to dodge it thanks to the cat reflexes I acquired in high school by dodging punches.
All kidding aside, what could have happened to me had this apple hit me is irrelevant(despite its low pressure(large and soft)), but the fuck that this cocksucker thought it would teach me a thing or two pretty much got my blood boiling, and I barely managed to finish the shift without choking him(or at least trying).
Ok, so assault might be an overstatement, more like a near-miss-involuntary-manslaughter, but what would you guys have had done in this situation?
My work place is left open at night, so it wouldn't be hard to just go in and drop a load in shipment prepared for tommorow He would lose pretty much all of his business if I had enough material for all of his customers.

Be a bitch and use the good ol legal ways of dealing with that. No consequences for you, except that the guy will prolly hate you to death, which is nice.

The problem is that I have to keep working here for 2 more weeks, since it's when my buddies arrive and I move out, otherwise I would become homeless. Pretty sure that if I take any legal action he would use the first excuse I give him to get rid of me

Honestly, if a guy threw a apple towards me in that fashion i would probably end up punching him without a second thought for the consequences.

It would look hilarious if a 5"7 skinny fella would try to throw a punch at a 6"0 35 year old guy. My best odds would be to grab a huge bramley and just sneak up on the motherfucker, since he had his back turned to me.
I'm just waiting to see if he will apologize tomorrow. but regardless of the outcome I'm contacting ACAS for advice on pursuing legal action.

You didnt catch the Apple? Pfft...
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

They think they are working harder that anyone else (they are not) and if they get advices from co-workers they simply ignore it, because they figured it all out and never! need any advice. Also they are full of excuses when confronted with the mistakes they've done. So I can understand someone would throw an apple
Let me complete my picture of you, you don't have a drivers license, right? |
Let me paint a picture of you: a douchebag that never worked hard In his entire life, got where is now by being friends/related/connected with someone. Brags about how wonderful his life is, complains about his job whenever he needs to focus the attention on himself, never really understood work ethic but thinks he has it cause he gets paid, thinks he's the boss especially where he's at the very bottom because why the fuck not... And thinks that not having a drivers license makes you somehow immature and a slacker and a know it all good for nothing bum.
Lol. Buddy go ask your parents for more allowance money.
Work where your boss is a high school drop out who'll never ever amount to anything, who do think they know better but don't and let out their frustrations on others because reasons is shit work. No matter how well you work, how good you do, it takes them one moment of realizing that they're working the shit job and will do so for the rest of their lives and they'll hunt you and treat you like shit. Bully psychology and all that... Wanting to be treated like el jefe... Getting that respect because you're top dog in a shit pile... Going above him to make him feel weak and useless and pathetic will make him bite. Simples.
But do please enlighten us on how you know best... idiot...
As for op... Ignore it. Douche has nothing going for himself. You do. Live a better life than him. Send him a post card in a few years asking him how them apples is.

What does a drivers licence has to do with anything?
I don't own one. I have no car, my parents have no car, what the fuck do I need it?
Still doesn't see the connection with anything and drivers licence...

Probably has one or two examples and then generalizes.
I share the thought that it is very silly to conclude anything on a person not having a driver license. But... that might be because I'm scum that never owned one either.

People without a drivers license only show their lack of motivation, inherent lazyness and missing virility. They mostly rely on others for transportation including public transportation, which, as is readily known, running on a huge deficit paid from honest peoples taxes e.g. communism. When they dont use PT, they travel by bicycles which are either childrens toys or used for recreation. Bicycles also hinder other more manly means of transport like cars or motorcycles. By owning a drivers license, not only you show your ability for self-determination and freedom of choice but you become an experienced human beeing, capable of surviving even the toughest situations. The car is the expression of modernity and transcendence of the human race. Having a drivers license is the ultimate achievment in life.
I have a drivers license. Do you?

Public transportation isn't an option to get to work in this region. So you better have one to make it to work. Everyone has one, it's a common question for a job interview. Usually the ones that don't have one are either 1) too lazy to get it done or 2) got busted driving under drug or alcoholinfluence.
(Speaking of people under 25)
Does that make them aweful co-workers, of course not, but I had to work with many young people (lots of fluctuation here) and there were a lot with a terrible work attitude that also didn't have a license.
Maybe too quick with seeing Sellob as the same kind, but hey, does anyone believe the stuff he comes up with?

I somehow feel compelled to answer.
No, I don't own a license. I never managed to get one since in Poland it used to be a 2 months pay, which most of the time I was using to support my family, since we were evicted 3 times already
In order to apply for a license here I need to wait 9 more days(6 months in UK as foreigner), which is my first priority.

I consider myself really hard working, I try my best to avoid conflicts at work, I ignore gossip, I focus on helping other more than focusing at my own work, I don't have a problem with taking fault for my wrongdoings since I sincerely believe that's the only way to properly learn and develop myself, and I help co-workers resolve problems by directly translating conversations between them at my bosses. I do tend to act stupid and careless at times, but never with bad intent, which hits my feels when I'm being demonized my every 2nd step.

So the recurring thing about them is: being young. You don't use that as a generalization but instead use their lack of license.
I'm sorry but it just sounds ridiculous.
I'd bring up work ethic/attitude of young/inexperienced people first. Which has been a case for a while now. People leaving school are so not prepared for their first months of work.
Hell I even had to teach a 28 year old about work attitude in my last job.

I'm gonna join the people with no driving license. No one was insane enough to give to a man with severe myopia one. And the law here doesn't allow that, anyway.
So, back to the subject. Next time, take his Apple phone and throw it at him. One apple for an Apple (his). Should be a fair trade.
