The game is described as “an open-ended voxel adventure through countless realms filled with quests, chests, and enemies great and small.”

Players can explore and create buildable and destructible worlds much like with Minecraft.

You can sign up for alpha testing through here, which Trion says will help the team “develop openly and collaboratively” with the players.

A release date and platforms other than PC have not been announced.

I'm getting sick of everyone assuming games that use voxels must be minecraft clones. There is nothing in the game description other than the word voxel to make it sound minecraft related, if anything its a cube world clone.

It looks the same as Minecraft to me. Haven't played Cube World.

I agree completely, the first thing that popped into my head when seeing the images above was "Okay, so this is an MMO clone of Cube World?" - I don't think it looks like Minecraft and it certainly wasn't what sprang to mind. Such as shame Cube World was launched in such a poor and barren state - it effectively killed all the hope and hype I had for it, though being in development for so long with just a single person, it's not really hard to understand why he had to launch it.

This looks worst than Minecraft in my opinion. I don't think cell-shade works with DoF that well.

I should have clarified, I meant the minecraft graphics. Yes it looks like cube world, which was so hyped, but barely got any updates in four months or so. Very disappointing Sad

I think that Cube World guy fucked up. He took way too long and now the market is getting raped with these games. He had an edge when he announced his project, and now he's just going too damn slow working by himself, barely communicating his work.

I hope he keeps going though, I enjoyed Cube World when I played that first release...
