Going to buy a PS4 tomorrow. Cheapest i can found is a NTSC-J.
I need to know 2 things, are menus in english?
And what about the o and x buttons? There are swiched only in menus?
I heard this is selectable in recent patch?
Also final question.. If some day the PS4 will get hacked does the NTSC-J should be okay? How was it in PS3?

dlcs are tied to the psn account, not the console in the first place. problems may come up if you use jap disc version of fallout and try to buy dlcs from the eu store
i dont think he wants to use any jap stuff anyway thats just the only case in which there might be problems (orig. disc from another region than your account, ok you can always create a second acc for such things)

That's right. It works exactly the same as the PS3.
Just set your console to English or whatever your language is and create a PSN of your region. If you are UK, create a UK account. Just as you would on a UK console.
All consoles are the same, only difference is indeed controls (which you can now change in ps4 settings) and bluray movies region.

The price dropped a bit more on asian version so i will buy it 1 tb version for for 430 usd. Also buying a fhd led as i only have hd ready lcd so thats another 400 usd for 40 inch samsung. Bye bye paycheck
My plan is to make a us user and buy games and dlcs from there.
Ended out buying PAL 1 TB. New model CUH-1216B. Cost me about 480 usd. Shame all NTSC-J sold out. Also got Samsung h5303.
Going to buy the more cheap games for now.. Infamous SS and first light and killzone shadowfall will cost 55 usd so thats enough for now.
