I have had this problem for ages now.
My disk space on my ssd 120 gig drive and on my 465 hdd drive keeps going up and down?
I have read it is due to system restore but it is still doing it?
I have downloaded treesize for it to scan what is taking up all the space and it does not account for over 200 gig missing on my 465 hdd drive?

Where has all the space gone too?
Any ideas on how to fix this as sometimes a windows warning comes up low disk space, i check and it says 2.50 mb, look back a few hours later and there is 10 gig free?

Can't open your screen, but have you tried running treesize as admin? If not, treesize can't scan system files. 200gig is still too much for system though.

That fixed it i had backups on it nearly 200 gigs, damn.

That is my d drive fixed but now when i try to delete files from my ssd drive it is saying access denied even though i gave administrator access?

Windows 7 and upwards create hidden system/repair partitions on the system disk. Open Disk Manager and check the partitions on the first disk (though this doesn't really apply to your issue afaik).
What are the names of the folders, are they hidden system folders (ie. have the hidden-flag set) etc.?
If you've reinstalled over a previous operating system you may need to take ownership of the folders and files since the rights are locked to your old system-account. The normal admin access does not work on those.

Make SURE they are safe to delete.

if its not system recovery, check if you have hibernation active, in that case you should have a pretty big, sometimes 8+ gigs, hiberfil.sys.
deactivate hibernation under energy options and reboot, if the file is still there you can manually delete it.

With 16gb ram .. check the size of your page file too.
