Lisa is a quirky side-scrolling RPG set in a post apocalyptic wasteland here women are nowhere to be found. It's a world full of drugs, violence and the decay of human intelligence.... Beneath the charming and funny exterior is a world full of disgust and moral destruction. Players will learn what kind of person they are by being FORCED to make choices. These choices permanently effect the game play. If you want to save a party member from death, you will have to sacrifice the strength of your character. Whether it's taking a beating for them, or losing limbs in a Yakuza style apology, or some other inhuman way. You will learn that in this world being selfish and heartless is the only way to survive...
Features:
- Visible character sacrifices that effect your stats (removing arms, eyes, scratches)
- Recruiting 20+ new party members in towns and camps.
- Giving up locations of towns and camps to gangs for profit, but they will pillage and destroy that town forever.
- White knuckle shopping cart races.
- Expending party members in Russian Roulette for huge profit, but perma-death if they lose.
- Countless hidden secrets in the world for you to explore.
- A strong narrative about the unloved people in the world.
@Yuri
can you tell more about your demo impressions?? Will get to my PC probbly tomorrow to try it by myself
Sure.
The developer delivers when he said "beneath the charming and funny exterior is a world full of disgust and moral destruction".
I think the game succeeds best at creating a lot of mood whiplashes. One moment you're lol'ing at something absurd but the next
there's some extremely grim stuff being heavily implied. Nothing about the game setting is explained or spoon-fed to you so it makes certain things
even more unnerving. The music sets the tone perfectly and I especially liked the overworld theme for which the developer even made a
muffled cave version. Some of the smaller touches are really nice.
It will probably take you at most 15-30 mins but it gives a good taste of what to expect from the full game. It's definitely not for everybody owing
to the game setting but fans for such games will definitely love it.
ok i am seriously thinking about developing my own low budget game at the side now.
i have enough twisted ideas in my sick, warped mind, my art skills are just ok, but apparently these are not THAT necessary.
