We did have another FM16 thread thats magically disappeared when this game was announced. It was full of the same disappointment with yet another version coming out with not much added and a full price tag. I didnt buy last years version FM15 and have still been playing FM14 regular, the changes between versions are now not worth the buy every year.

at 20€ sure, at the full price... no I'm not delusional.
They shouldn't release on a yearly basis and not full price. But I think that about most sport games.

This is one of the biggest scams, taking advantage of people who are clearly addicted to the sport. What they add during an entire year is microscopic, tiny updates, low impact, often more cosmetic than anything else.
Then when a new version comes out it is full of flaws and bugs that'll take until next version to get fixed; and the next version introduces new problems - broken fucking record.
A new serious competitor would be swimming in cash, because everyone would give SEGA and Sports Interactive the slap and a kick out the door.

So far seems to be very boring release. If they now didn't announced any killer features it seems that this will be just 'heavly' patched FM15 with tons of new bugs. Meh!

PC master race should have released a manager game with the depth of FM and visuals of FIFA by now, but everyone is so damned complacent it doesn't happen. For low-end machines, they could keep this current 3d mode as an option. They're too busy putting stuff in their butts to try and evolve out of this sweet-spot they're currently in...
Its like, its selling, why improve it, why bother. When the game stops selling, they'll probably think about more drastic improvements. Right now its very boring. The changes they make are tiny. Its like they spend 2 months adding features, and 10 months trying to fix the game. The game suffers under this religious annual release schedule. It never leaves room for the game to get proper feedback, and for developers to even make something worthwhile for the next installment. Its pretty shitty.
Yeah, this was really high on the list of priorities for FM2016, I'm sure. Making the manager avatar that idles on the side of the pitch in the 3d engine. Take a year's rest now developers, you must be fatigued. Count money or something.

I think this might not sell as much as FM2015 did but when we look at the current stats: http://steamcharts.com/app/295270 probably majority of them will switch on FM2016 as soon as it comes out.

As long as they keep releasing the same game, I consider myself an owner of FM2016 as I have bought several iterations prior to this one, and I will consider getting it for 100% free when the full aka "slightly tested" version is out.

It will be cracked, but the early version will have a bunch of triggers. Which means the game will do funky shit and will ruin your gameplay. FM15 got cracked properly pretty late, so I guess that May date is accurate (Just can't remember exactly when).
Don't think fallout will have nasty DRM, so it might be better for you to buy FM and Isodemo Fallout until you can get it. |
