As developer CD Projekt RED continues to release content for this year’s popular The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a film adaptation of the Andrzej Sapkowski novel series has been announced by The Sean Daniel Company, which previously produced The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, “The Expanse,” and the upcoming remake of Ben-Hur. They will co-produce the Witcher movie with Platige Films.
Quote:
The Witcher movie will be an introduction to Geralt the witcher, a nomadic monster hunter for hire, and his duel world of men and beasts. The film is also being planned as the beginning of a television and film series with the first movie set for a world premiere in 2017. Jarosław Sawko and Piotr Sikora will be the producers from Platige Films’ side and Sean Daniel and Jason Brown from The Sean Daniel Company.
The Witcher was previously adapted into a feature film in 2001, which also had a TV series continuation. CD Projekt RED’s games have gone on to be critical and commercial successes with additional content for this year’s “Wild Hunt” set to roll out next year.
The Dungeon Siege movie, the Alone in the Dark movies, the Hitman movies or this one... which do you think will be worse once The Witcher movie comes out?
I guess this could be a great way to introduce what happened in the books prior to the plot of the games ..... but have my doubts even though i kinda enjoyed the old "C"-grade TV show. Objectuvely It was kinda huge crap
Yeah, kinda liked the tv-show myself.
Heard it was horrible before watching, so went in with really low expectations, which is always the best way to watch anything
Although the effects and Kaer Morhen was awful, i liked the actor playing Geralt and the story.
I'm afraid this will turn into a pg13 actionflick though.
I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
Bagiński said in an interview in Polish breakfast TV (fragments in Polish are here) that their targeting a 20-30 million $ budget, which he stated sounds abstract but is possible. Based on two short stories - The Witcher and The Lesser Evil. He wants to shoot the movie in Poland and Eastern Europe generally - Ukraine, Belarus. Also he said, that the main actor will definitely be English-speaking

Lol only Eva Green fits perfectly. no one else... Well maybe Baron guy fits too
And Emma Watson is just most unattractive, worst actress ever. Or at least most overrated

She is terrible. I dont see anything interesting or sexy in the way she looks. Ciri should be played bybsomeone with interesting looks like Saorise Ronan. Omg she was captivating in byzantium and grand budapest hotel :O
Watson dont even represents any female characteristics. I just dont like her ok ?

None of those female leads should be in Witcher series. Actually, Witcher doesn't need to be on TV at all.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
