Outside connections: Make industry and commercial districts flourish with new customers in the neighboring cities
Wonders: the ultimate end-game content that the players strive towards

Doesn't look bad from what was shown in the video.
But wasn't City in Motion plagued by bugs or other problems?

Sounds awesome. Razz Wasn't a huge fan of the Cities in Motion series, but hopefully this one will feel more complete and polished.

Yeah. CiM never grabbed me. I expected it to be a kind of TTD of city mass transit, but it was too convoluted and wasn't gratifying to play for me. Because of that I don't have high hopes, but at least the city looks right. I would have looked past some of the crimes of SC5 if it would give us cities that looked like cities (not just talking the postage stamp maps).

I don't think so Very Happy

I wish it will to be honest, but I am afraid it will just be a CitiesXL clone with the same main issue : Lifeless.
And a nice shit ton of bugs like CiM2.

I hope I am wrong tho.

if you take out the parts where they are trying to thumb their nose at EA, what do you left? anything worth talking about or looking at?

I expect absolutely nothing from this.

Neither of their previous games have really been worth the price of admission and don't see it changing now.

This is cool if you just want to build big cities to look at, I guess, but even the original SimCity 30 years ago probably had more actual simulation gameplay than this.

I wandered through the CiM2 forum earlier today, more recent bellyaching about the devs just ignoring long standing issues.

I wouldn't touch this with silent_lurker's wallet, but I know he'll buy it anyway. He'll buy any kind of shitty lost cause.

Yep.

Big (actually huge) maps, Mods support & Mod tool, water pipes, power lines, ... almost everything lacking in Simcity 5.
And it even doesn't feel lifeless like CitiesXL games...

I think even Crossmr might enjoy this one Very Happy

Not a chance. They did an ama on reddit recently, and gave me zero reason to remotely trust that they'd actually do a good job on this. Their previous games "look good" until you actually try to play them.

not wasting any more money on this company.

The more I learn about this game, the more I think it may be good eventually.

I've only been paying passing attention to this game. I watched part of a video, but as I mentioned, don't trust the dev.

Train fever pisses me off. It's really close to a great game, but they just can't make it happen and the devs are completely MIA (plus I actually fucking paid for that one)

Yeah. 2 months after release the best what they can offer is a another stability patch. I start losing hope in this one. You know this makes me very sad because, like you said, with a few small features more this game would absolutely rock...
