Moonbeam City is an upcoming American animated comedy television series created by Scott Gairdner set to premiere on Comedy Central on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 10:30 PM.
A parody of 1980s cop shows such as Miami Vice, it stars Elizabeth Banks, Rob Lowe, Kate Mara, and Will Forte. Music for the show is performed by Night Club.
Animated in distinctively bright, neon colors similar to the Art Deco style of 80's artist Patrick Nagel and featuring a soundtrack of 1980s-style synthesizer music, the series follows inept and sex-crazed detective Dazzle Novak (Rob Lowe) of "Moonbeam City PD", his boss Chief Pizzaz Miller (Elizabeth Banks), and his rival Rad Cunningham (Will Forte).
