Paradox and Behold Studios have released a cute pre-order trailer for Knights of Pen & Paper +1 Edition. The game, which launches on PC June 18, is an RPG where players take on the role of players who are playing an RPG.It will run you $9.99 for the standard edition and $14.99 for the digital deluxe version.
Aye, I'm with dsergei; I played the iOS version and it's insanely fun - but yes, very repetitive. I was waiting for the PC one and was going to pick it up, but holy fucking shit -- that price! €10/€15 is too much for a €1.50 iOS/Android game. That's ridiculously unfair!
~edit~
Worse, the IAP-ridden bullshit is still in the PC version;
Yeah, I actually played this one on my sister's tablet and it's quite a fun time waster. The price difference seems to be the typical bullshit with these ports...
Hey Dr. Awesome, it's not for "no reason" at all. The game is not a port, it's the game for pc and we worked for months to make this available to pc. We have more content, more items, more maps, more monsters and whole new features and etc.
Fucking bullshit. The "more" stuff is part of the +1 Edition -- which is coming to existing iOS/Android owners too. This is just wrong, any god damn way you slice it.
Unfortunatelly, or not, steam has a price range and it advises the publisher as a price for the game. We, devs, did not choose what would be the price for the game. Instead of that, we made enough content, monsters, places, items, whole new features and added many other things to the game that would be reasonable to sell it for that amount of money.(All of which are being given to iOS/Android owners for free with their existing $2 copy)
Android and iOS owners will certainly receive their updates because they deserve, they paid for it. It's a different platform and believe me, for me, as a dev, what I want the most is that people play the game and have fun with it. We're trying to spread it in as many ways we actually can. Personal opinion: I wouldn't even ask for people to pay if they had paid already in other platforms like iOS/Android but I just can't do that. It doesn't justify the price jump though but all I can say is: if you don't feel like playing Knights on the PC because you have already the game on iOS/Android, feel free to keep that version because we'll keep that updated as well whenever the Steam version is available and apple releases it on apple store (there's a review window that takes days to be published, let's hope everything goes right).
Anyway, I may agree with you but tl:dr, we had a price range and based on that we worked hard for months to make this game available to so many people that would like to play and did not have an iDevice or Android to play. Again, you are free to support our cause and get your pre-order (or even wait for the game's release) or you may just spread the word about the game if you enjoyed or not. (I refuse to do either of those) Please don't take my message as a rude or anything like that, I'm just a gamer indie game developer being honest with you.
Btw, thanks for playing the iOS version, because of you and way too many other people we managed to make this version of the game to Steam. (This fact actually makes me feel rather sick, to know that I played my part in spiting PC gamers makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable)
I wish I hadn't wasted my money buying this now, they clearly cannot be trusted. I do NOT recommend anyone buy this for the PC, wait for the cracked version. I don't even recommend picking up the Android/iOS version, even though they're getting the +1 Addon for FREE, because it just sends a message that it's okay to screw with people.
Still significantly higher than iOS/Android versions but a lot better than the bullshit standard prices.
~edit~
Oh and the developer will call you a "hater" if you say anything other than "the in-game IAP system is a godsend! Thank you SO very much for charging MORE money to play the game, I love you!"
Prepare to inhabit a world of chivalry, class warfare and off-beat pop references.

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
Well I finished part 2 (and add-on) didn't feel as epic and big as part 1
