I just can't seem to find games that are enjoyable these days. And I always fall back to World of Tanks because it's the only game I can seem to play for another day on and on.
XCOM2 was ok~ish, bugged as fuck but ok~ish. Very repetitive after a while though, played it for like 2 days, I'm not sure I can bring myself to finish it. Reminds me of MGS, Far Cry etc when it comes to being repetitive... Fun for a while but doesn't last.
Xenonauts seemed pretty decent but rather.. simple aswell. Sure it is a bit more hard than XCOM2 is and slightly more complicated mechanics but that's about it, rest is pretty much identical I think and I'm not a big fan of this "fast forward until something happens" mechanic :l
Another game I tried recently after a long while is Mech Warrior Online, which has improved a LOT since I last played it.
Back when I last played it, it only had US servers and the client didn't run over 40 FPS no matter what you did basically. Now it runs like a charm and has EU servers.
Played it for a few days, haven't started again...
I'm not a big fan of single player games really, I just can't bring myself to put dedication into them. I enjoy playing with friends (what friends????+) much more, multiplayer games where I can compete with people are way more fun for me.
R6 Siege was fun for a week or so (when the servers decided to work...) but too many bugs and latency issues in it for me to truly enjoy it, and again, lack of people to play with as it's too expensive for my poor friends.
I also bought Naval Action during the EA and it's "released" now on Steam, no more wipes etc but I'm a bit put off by the lack of a proper UI and the lack of things to do really, I doubt I will be touching it again anytime soon unless they bring a proper UI and more stuff to do ingame first. The battles are also a bit slow paced for my taste for the rewards they give. I do enjoy the PVP a lot but just.. don't at the same time.
Plz halp me play games and play with me /sadface

You might try Warframe. It's f2p but with a very fair system.
It also has a rather good competive mode, besides the 4-player coop one.
I still play it regulary.
- Warframe

- Battlefield 4
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2

You could try Smite as well, if you like competitive multiplayer games.

Isn't it like DOTA? Not a big fan of those either, I have played DOTA 2 a bit but I have always thought that anything else like it like LOL/HON etc are just sort of a "ez mode joke games" compared to DOTA 2.

Not really, Smite is its own thing really. People call it a MOBA because it's the closest thing it can be compared to I guess, but it's very different and much more action-based, relies a lot more on mechanical skills because of that. It's free though, so it won't hurt to try it and see if you like it. |
I will give it a shot then.

If you haven't tried it, give it a go, I find it very enjoyable even against unknown players. |
I played it for a bit during a lan party with a friend but dunno, not sure if I enjoyed it that much. Maybe give it another shot later.

I put 240 hours into it in 2 weeks when it was released on Steam lol
That game was frickin awesome back then with the competitive game mode with no respawns etc but since the removal of it, they have just kept ruining the game more and more.
I miss it

Second on Warframe. If you last played around release time (2-3 years ago) then you'll not recognize the game at this point. Pretty much everything was redone, much better combat, melee, movement system, much more environments and enemies, etc. Just keep in mind that the only goal in the game is getting new equipment, but since they are all unique and not given by RNGesus from a random loot generator, every weapon feels different.
Armored Warfare is pretty good as well. If you like WoT, you'll feel right at home, it has the same controls, same basic gameplay, but with modern tanks and everything that comes along with them (lots of modern tech, like laser designation, guided missiles, etc). Not to mention a PvE game mode, also the game has less powerful, yet more useful artillery (deploy smoke or illumination rounds for example, but they are also great at knocking out internal modules). Here they are actually just as accepted as the other vehicle types, not as universally deplored as they are in WoT.

Played plenty of Armored Warfare, I bought the biggest founders pack the day it was announced, boy was I hyped about the game.
I still got like 60d of Premium left in it and I haven't bought any since release, bought the founders pack + the release pack.
The game could be awesome.. but it isn't, not right now anyway.
- massive shot delay
- no server reticle
- high tiers are plagued by MBTs that take pure luck to kill (2 pixel weak spot sniping is so fun)
If you play something like prem T6 etc, the game is decent fun but trying to play my T-80.. Just no.
PVE doubles for it every now and then and that's it.
If they even fixed the shot delay I would propably play it a lot more...
Will have to take a look at Warframe again.

Well a good advice is to not force games because others like them. You see people play genres they don't like just because they are popular. In the end that just takes the joy away from gaming.
And there's also nothing wrong with putting a pause on gaming and enjoying yourself with other hobbies!
I'm not really into MP games these days (Just don't see a point in it if I can't put a lot of time into it), plus the direction they went with stat whoring and social media is not my style. So can't give any recommendations on those...
That being said, if your friends don't want to play certain games try to make other friends. Bet there are people on here you can play those games with. 15 people in my friends list (which is 90% hump people) have KFII, so you could try to get something going there.

I think the problem isn't that the other games ain't fun the problem is prolly that you are addicted to world of tanks.
Back in the days when i was addicted to lineage 2 i couldnt play any other games either and thought they werent fun which in retrospect wasnt true.
Just had the overall urge to play lineage 2 while playing or trying all those other games.
