word around town was that yes they're heading towards the final release. cant wait, i loved what theyve done so far. very interested to see if the payoff is worthwhile.

which upsets me, because it means while we thought they were working on delivering the best they could for the pc version, they've been splitting their time with the ps4 version, subsidised by pc early access profits.

well when they say theyre focused on adding content and making the best game that they can make, but instead of splitting their efforts between two simultaneous releases, that is disappointing, especially in a game that shows so much promise. |

"Adding content" is likely not something the programmers responsible for the console ports would be doing anyway.
Most likely after the base game was up and running with all planned features the programmers started to work on the console ports while the artists, writers, designers continued to work on new PC content (which on a good multiplatform engine translates almost automatically to console content as well.)
They aren't exactly making Crysis 4 or Fallout 5 to require from programmers to implement new rendering techniques and mechanics all the time. It's a walking simulator type of game taking place in rooms and corridors.

After playing awhile the game has good atmosphere, nice textures, the endless, changing rooms is a very nice touch, but I feel that the game has heavy reliance in jump scares. That's cheap horror.

Personally I wouldn't rate the build I played higher than 7/10.
But I don't consider a 7 to be bad. To me it means "play once and forget".

No update seems to be scheduled so it's been done for what, months?
(December being the last time it got updated I believe so if you have that early-access build you have the full game already.)
