Canadian ISP Videotron is giving information about it's customer to the Canadian Recording Industry Association.
4 other Canadian isp's has refused to do so without a court order.
Anybody who has videotron as their isp should send hate mails telling them that you are changing isp!

Its the cable ISP in Canada...they sucks...they even put limit to download...youre allowed only for 20gig a month..after that it cost 10$ for the extra gig you use

This is old news. Videotron is owned by Qebecore which owns Archambeaux(sp?) which has thousands of licenses with artists, which is why they will give up your info.
A good provider to be with is Bell, they fight for and protect consumer rights.

Are they really cheap? Because I can't see any other reason why someone would want to use them if they have a 20gig download limit and they divulge your private information.

It's slightly faster than the other main DSL offer (Bell's Sympatico)
I'm with Sympatico, screw Quebecor Media.
la convergence c'est comme une pompe a marde.

They are all about the same price but Cable is faster then DSL if i recall, cable get 200k/s faster than DSL...so people prefer to go faster but being watch and having a download/upload limit...people in Quebec are idiots...the worst part is that only Videotron have a limit...i dont care downloading at 315k/s...atleast i have the freedom to do whatever i want without constanly looking at where i am in the gig download
