Sébastien Loeb and the game
A name. A legend. One of the most iconic figures in the history of the sport: Sébastien Loeb. The most prominent Rally player. Nine world championships won consecutively. His career is made of challenges, limits to be passed and goal to be reached. Talent, passion and dedication made him possible to write the history of rally!
The game features:
– Around 300 Kilometres of tracks
– 8 different rallies, 5 rallycross tracks and the Pikes Peak track
– Over 50 car models
– Over 20 car manufacturers
– 15 game modes
WRC 5 will actually arrive on PC as well, but it's made by different developers (Kylotonn Games, who have an outstanding curriculum http://www.kylotonngames.com/pages/games.php ).
I'm happy that this is coming too, despite all the problems Milestone know how to create fun semi-sim physics engines, and truthful to the discipline, without silly xGames and stuff like that
Don't know about Dirt, haven't tried it yet... but this video has indeed some floating going on. Movement looks even more precise than an F1 car on a circuit (Like it's not even making contact with the surface)
We'll see what it will be, but judging from the video: the driving needs some work.

Dirt Rally is hands down the best rally game after RBR. You have to try it.

How does Dirt 3 compare to Dirt Rally?
It truly is a night and day difference, it feels like they're not even part of the same sport. Dirt 3 is extremely forgiving with its arcadeness, no precision is required for the huge roads/simplified physics and the focus on drifting/gymkhanas does the rest.
Dirt Rally on the other hand is a simulation with realistic physics and tracks (tiny and that require proper efforts).
I still can't believe Codemasters came up with something like that, it was unthinkable until some time ago, but kudos to them

This one looks underwhelming (to say the least), more arcade than the usual Milestone games it seems. Sebastien deserves much better
Not too shabby in my opinion, even though the roads appear to be wayy too flat. It won't disturb Dirt Rally, but at least looks a bit better than WRC5 (which isn't an achievement, but still! )
Cars drive like on rails. Even after a major jump there is next to no suspension movement going on I guess Sebastian should preorder some hundred thousand units if he wants to compare with dirt rally

Indeed, the poor Sebastian is probably still pinching his nose, while holding the money bag with the other hand xD
Let's just hope nothing bad happens to him, after Richard Burns and Colin McRae I would be worried a little
Milestone pls! It's worse than I expected . Very average to say the least, with an extremely game-y handling, 100% flat roads (the #1 issue in my opinion), poor damage system and so on.
It's getting redundant to mention it, but Dirt Rally has raised the bar so high that the competition has absolutely no chance at the moment. Kudos to them at least for releasing an official demo, even though the product in question has the ability to scare people away xD
Well of course. They will blame the demo. "If we would've sold it without demo, at least some people might've been fooled by the name, but now they aren't even buying it in the first place "
Meh, I just installed the demo but after reading here I'm deleting it. If there's something I hate it's on-rails/on-ice racers that are as ULTRA-SHITTY as the Burnout series (which was transplanted into the NFS franchise and killed that off for me).
