Originally written as a novella in the late 1980’s, the Heroic Legend of Arslan has been adapted to manga and anime numerous times, with the most prominent being the 2013 release of a manga series by famed illustrator Hiromu Arakawa (the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist). It tells the story of the young crown prince of Pars, Arslan, as he is forced out of his kingdom when his father, the king, is betrayed and murdered and his domain conquered. Arslan and his few companions must re-assemble an army and fight against overwhelming odds to regain his throne and liberate his kingdom. Through his exploits he reaches emotional maturity, while the series also tackles underlying issues of slavery, religious fanaticism, betrayal, and humanity.
The game adaptation of this magnificent story seamlessly blends the fast paced tactical action gameplay indicative of the Warriors franchise with a stunningly engaging narrative. Using cell-shaded graphics and basing all character design on the anime series Arslan: The Warriors of Legend delivers a gaming experience designed to fully immerse the player into Arslan’s universe!

Arslan: The Warriors of Legend will come to PC via Steam in addition to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation 3 on February 9, Koei Tecmo announced.
Consumers who buy the game within its first month of launch will be able to download ‘Conflict at Gujarat Fortress’ and ‘Battle for the Title’, two new original scenarios for the Free Mode. Both scenarios offer the possibility to unlock special Limited Skill Cards.
Koei Tecmo also announced that Arslan: The Warriors of Legend will include a number of original scenarios based on episodes of the original Arslan novels and manga, which will gradually unlock via the Story Mode and can be played during Free Mode.
A new set of screenshots showcase playable characters “Tus, a quiet officer of the Parsian army and chain martial arts expert, Isfan, the younger brother of a Cavalry General who is also known as the ‘one raised by wolves, and the fearless Zaravant, a Shield-Spear wielding knight of great strength.” All three of them make their way to the city of Peshawar, after Arslan declares his intention to expel Luitanian oppression and join his group in the fight to end the occupation of the capital.
But i guess ... mostly around 15k copies, but i guess at 60€ it might be quite profitable for them as the ports are pretty bare-bones and possibly cheap to make (no idea how it sells on derpsoles)
- On max settings and in the fights the FPS drop from 60 to 40. That's unacceptable for how the game looks and most objects just look copy-pasted.
- Controls with a gamepad suck, especially on a horse. The movement is just so sudden, that you can't hit anything precisely next to you.
- Very strange camera angle. I can't see anything right behind me or even next to me sometimes. The camera is just too narrow to your character.
- Cutscenes are badly implemented with those static/half animated screens.
