It looks quite frightening. It's more of a psy horror game if I'm right, and not the classic resident style.

Is it as scary as Clock Tower or Shadow Tower Abyss?

I just saw the trailer. It looks kinda corney with that big frankenstein chasing you around. Also, Gamespot says its a mansion. But the nfo says its a castle? Which is it. However, I do like how you can control your dog. Its nice they put an animal in this game. I just hope its scary enough to make somebody cry and run away.

Only played half and hour of it, but so far its good. Cutscenes are excellent capcom usual stuff, gameplay so far points to be looking at a very good game.

Usual resident evil old style of play (good thing), usual wonder round collecting things, healing herbs (in this case lavender). Not found the dog yet as been chased around the place by the monster guy who reminds me of the hunchback of notra dam

Will be playing more thats for sure when i get the time

Well all I've seen so far is that big frankenstein dude chasing you around. Thats not even scary. I just started playing it now. On my 2nd hour of play.

This is a ripoff of Shadow Tower Abyss Sad

Castle/Mansion. Both involve a character waking up there. Interactive environments. The only difference is plot seems silly, unless it picks up as I play more. But knowing Capcom, they'll turn it into some experiment crap, or some twilight zone shit. I was hoping this would be good. But so far what I'm playing its not. I'll try playing through it all tomorrow?

I think this game is the next clock tower (meaning 4). It's exactly the same game except for a new story ofcourse. Some improvements have been made, improvements like when someone is chasing you they can find you if you hide at the same spot too many times, this can turn out quite scary in my opinion. Smile

I watched alittle when my girlfriend played it and it looked quite good. Wasn't really scary at the beginning but it had the good old resident evil gameplay and that's great.
But I wonder why they didn't just call it clock tower 4? If they had, fans of the series had known about it and in return more people would have got it.
it MUST be the 4th in the series...............

Well, I played more through it. It does resemble some of Clock Tower. But wouldnt the locations and scissorman be in it? The guy who chases you around with scissors. I forget his last name atm. Just want to know your opinion on the events in the game to make it seem like Clock Tower 4. Just seems like a very weird game.

Wasn't the scissor dude left out in clock tower 2? I dont recall him being in that game? I'm not 100% though.

The main things for me that makes me think that this is clock tower 4 is.
You have these people that keep on chasing you and you have to hide to loose them. This alone is not enough to call it clock tower 4, but since clock tower was made by capcom and this too is made by capcom, I think it is Smile
You are right about the locations (a clock tower) but maybe they thought 3 games in the series was enough and therefor decided to change locations etc in part 4? Maybe that's why they also changed the name of it?
I dont know, I just find it very weird that capcom would make a new game that resembles clock tower so much but not call it clock tower or even a game in the series.

But I can be way off ofcourse. Smile

Well, the only way to be sure that this may indeed be a sequel is to email the developers. That or maybe there will be a Q & A session. This is in a castle though, so you never know.

Oh, yea. The name comes back to me. Barrows. The Barrows mansion?? Cept this is some sort of weird castle that is a mansion??

Doesn't have anyone problems burning this game? I tried with Stomp RecordNowMax first, selected the small .gi file and got this message in red:

DVD Closed Multiborder (DVD F3), 1 Zone(s), 3.367,03 MB (2235920) Used

When burning it keeps hanging on "initialising", when I tried DVDDecrypter it hangs on "lead in". I've burned 100 or so ISO's and never had problems. Any clues?

Nothing wrong with that, that's what it shuld say.

Maybe your burner just sucks when it comes to .gi format? Smile
Try converting it to iso or something instead.

I guess so... what program would you recommend to unpack and repack to iso? Thanks.

I have never done it but I know that Ultraiso can covert from .gi to iso.
So give that a try. It's a really easy program to use too.

The old dos "copy" command.

This .gi format is simply (or should i say stupid) a split iso image. I've used the standard unix tool, "cat *gi > foo.iso", so no need of fancy utility...

Edit: i need to make a small correction, you need to merge only the numbered .gi files, in this case "cat *[1-3][1-3]*.gi > foo.iso"... =)
