the ps2 mod is the most difficult mod on the market. ive done everything from original psx to gamecube to xbox and ps2, if ur not comfortable, do not do it. a tuturial is good for a grounds on what to do if uve got an idea. just the first view of the ps2 mobo is intimidating at first. grab a board out of some electrical equipment if u have some thats trashed.
practice using kynar wire because that too can get annoying. definately do not jump right into it

Don't solder the joints but tin the wires instead.
Use flux too. Makes life so much easier.
Let us know how you get on too. I wouldn't mind trying to chip a ps2 myself.

its sounds to me like your next post will read AAAAHHH i screwed my ps2. dont so it let someone with the experience do it dont use your own machine as a tester.
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

Is your brother mentally disabled?

It would have worked if had let the glue dry before switching on the Play Station.
When the glue is dry it's none conductive. Of course using a glue gun would have been better.
