Gameplay

-----------------

At first sight i didn't like the visuals that much (those big heads).
But the user reviews on Steam are very positive and even enthusiastic. The features sound promising too, a bit like The Banner Saga.

Wishlisted this for now, and will wait till it leaves EA.

I tried it yesterday, didn't really like it.
The trailer and screenshots made this game look more interesting to me than it is.

- First there is no tutorial at all in the beginning. Only after ~10min i somehow understood what the gameplay is about.

- Second the gameplay seems very bland to me sadly. You basically drive around with your ship and have several islands with different races on them.
- You can enter most island only one time. Each time some event happens. For example a short conversation or some turn based fight.
- Clearing an island gives you some ressources to purchase new skills (which i was too dumb for to find and equip) or to heal your wounds. And it also gives reputation for the race you supported on it.
- Apparently you can unlock new characters this way on your next playthrough. But again i was either not clever enough or the game is buggy. Because after dieing and starting a new playthrough, i could not chose the unlocked characters.
Rage-Uninstalled after that. grinhurt

Can someone explain wtf i'm supposed to do here? Playing it for 2 hours and reputation is going way slow, i only fight almost the same guys, it's kind of boring already,...

I'm actually quite liking this, mainly because of the combat which is pretty good. A shit ton of classes to unlock. Unlocked like 7 on my first playthrough so far.

The writing is.. strange. Not a whole lot of spelling errors, but it's like they don't quite grasp English.

My favorite one is when I found an island that was slowing down time. When asked why, the chief said that he didn't have time to "make sports", among other things. I wish I could have screen-shotted that.

The Engrish is definitely strong with this one. Very Happy

Apparently the devs are from Turkey, but their website uses a .gs domain which is assigned to the South Georgia and South Sandwich islands.
