Project Judge, the next game from Yakuza developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, has been given a new name for its Western release. Outside of Japan, the game will be called "Judgement" and it will be available in Summer of 2019. The new information was revealed during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, where a trailer was also shown.
A free Prologue Demo recently launched on the PlayStation Store.
The Judgment Prologue Demo, which clocks in at around 14.5GB on the PS4, offers players a chance to venture into the early portions of the game’s story. Players also get a feel for the main pillars of gameplay, including street fighting and Judgment’s investigation mechanics with Takayuki Yagami.
This game would have been great if it wasn't for the fact that it's the same old fucking city with the same old fucking locations. What shameless developers. Absolutely terrible. Story is likely good, can't comment on that.
Finally played this on PS5 and it was great. It's locked at 30 fps but at least on PS5 it's completely stable whereas on PS4 there were drops in some situations.
The new characters are very likeable and I thought the story was a very intriguing murder mystery and kept me guessing all the way through. Really enjoyed that political intrigue stuff that yakuza does so well.
It has so much side content though.. I didn't even finish half of it...
I suppose my least favorite part at this point is the combat. It feels too floaty.
Now I'm looking forward to trying out Yakuza 7.
