|
 |
I know this isn't "game technical", but it's the only place I could think of for "PC technical"...
Anyway, recently I have become unable to use ANY Virtual CD programs at all. Daemon Tools restarts my computer when it's installed and I have to go into safe mode and delete some of the files it creates. Nero's ImageDrive simply restarts my computer. Alcohol 120% gives me the Blue Screen of Death the moment I open it. So can anyone recommend a way to fix this so I can use Virtual CD's again? They've always worked in the past, and it's just recent that I haven't been able to use them anymore. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Well the first thing would be to tell us which OS you're using?

Sounds like something you've installed recently. New mobo by any chance?

Hmmm, nope :\
The most recent thing I've installed is Apollo, which is a music player, but it didn't mess up until some weeks after that was installed.

Sounds like a registry problem to me...try uninstalling all virtual drive programs and then do a registry clean...If you need a program to clean the registry try (Registry Medic) or something similar...Restart system after clean.
Now try and reinstall the virtual cd apps one at a time and see what you get.
