Just watched it finally and really like it - it's A LOT better than Dark Matter.

Dark Matter's second episode was just pure meh. The battle between the Raza and the corporation was suppose to be epic and it was just a joke.

Loved this fucking show to bits - there was at least one bad-ass song/scene in every single episode. Can't wait for season 2!
Not sure what's with all the hate, but I for one enjoy a straightforward, moderately campy, sci-fi. Not everything has to be fucking Game of Thrones level plot twisty.

Infinite facepalms per minute, if you were to take it seriously. But if you take it as a trashy sci-fi, it becomes watchable (but not good or great). Similar as with Dark Matter, except Dark Matter was better IMHO. Lead actress is pretty cute though.
It's passable as an a'la 90-ties, silly sci-fi show, but tbh, it's already overstayed its welcome and two more seasons seem like a stretch. The show was best when it was satisfied with providing fun, one-off adventures. Chemistry between leads is alright, humour is decent more often than not. But the more they delve info the grander storyline, the worse it becomes... The shallowness of the whole setting sticks out like a sore thumb. And season 3 is already pretty much exclusively about the overarching plot, so...
So, this was renewed for an additional TWO seasons, while both Dark Matter and Blood Drive got axed. Of the three, I would have been OK with this one getting axed instead.
