Söldner was a buggy game when it was released.
Meanwhile they released already 2 patches which solved a lot of bugs.
None of the patches are cracked at the moment, is there any hope they will be cracked? Confused
It's impossible to update the game (I've got the Clone-cd version).

Söldner is a very good game, got alot to offer but yes sadly the bugs toke it down.. But no cracks have appeared for the new versions and it wont work on the clones aswell... So i quess we must wait or just forget about cracks for those patches..

Sadly, there were a ton of bugs in the demo but the company still released the game.

I played the demo and 1st version as a diversion awaiting a better game to be released. Unfortunately we are in the summer doldrums of game releases, so almost anything new helps.

We don't buy if it inheriently sux... We continuously preview! Laughing Anyway, at hand, surprised those updates have not been cracked. Gawd the scene must be royally in a bind.

I don't get it: WHERE IS THE NEW/OLD TALENT TO STEP UP AND RELEASE CRACKED UPDATES?!?! We're a global community meaning thousands/millions of scene members yet noone is doing what only 3 months ago was commonplace? Did that BS busting in early April really kill people's desires to "work the scene" and crack protections/updates?

Normally, things would have been cracked on an ongoing basis. Now its just pure sadness... Something REALLY mortally-wounded the scene to cause this. Mad I'm not pleased.

Hell.. If I could I'd form an elite cracking group to intensely scrutenize these BS protection schemes that are hyjacking our rights to make backup copies of our products (let alone screwing around with our OS' Device Manager). I WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE SCENE WHAT IT SO GRACIOUSLY GAVE ME FOR DECADES!

THE SCENE MUST NOT DIE - New talent/ideas must always replace an Old Guard whose time may/may not have been expiring. However, something seems different this time. Maybe groups are "internalizing" all their cracked releases so the game companies don't immediately start circumventing them in new updates/product releases.

Notice when the groups do release a crack or find a method to use CloneCD, Daemon Tools, Alcohol, etc to bypass game protection the game companies have since last Nov'03 clued in? Coincidence or did some of the big manufactures find out from former scene members how to beat the crackers at their own game for the first time ever?

Maybe now the scene must truely go underground and stifle the publisher's knowledge of new cracks so they don't incorporate them into future releases. Hmmm..

I think it's a good thing that updates are uncommon nowadays. That hopefully means that more of you blood-sucking leeches out there actually will buy the games you like so that the developers can keep doing games!

100% agree.
well, when you ask people why they download games, like 75% of the people say it's to try it to see if it worth buying and if it's good they buy it because games cost a lot. And i'm for that. but the thrut is that only like 20% do that.

You know.. I may get in trouble for this but:

F*CK THAT! I mean honestly, F*CK THAT! I know I speak for many users on this as I'm glad I'm a happy freeloader as well as all my friends. We've been very supportative of the scene and the "circumventing policy" that allows us to get things for free. And why the hell not? People will buy the games and watch the movies in the theater BUT WE HAVE FOUND A NICHE TO GET THEM DIFFERENTLY. Its the culture and its been around for decades. I, and many MANY people are not ashamed of what we do just the same way we down movies and watch them in the comfort of our homes.

Ethically, of course its wrong but its one of those sins that is offset by other "good things" we all do in life. Further, I am a collector.. I collect games/apps/music/movies and my "local" community benefits from them. Not for profit but as a sharing thing. I've also learned NO GAME is worth acquisition as it could never really satisfy especially when computer hardware and internet services cost what they do. Tack that on with being a collector and there ya have it. I have come close to buying but couldn't justify it.

Btw, Cracked Updates **DO** serve a purpose: they, like NoCDs, allow a game to run faster because the a*s publishers decide to inconvenience everyone by forcing the customer base to play with the bloody CD in the drive! Idiots! Hell.. many paying customers actually want NoCDs for their paid games.. go frick'n figure!! I wonder why!??!?

You are probably a 16yr boy who did nothing in his life and have respect for nothing (or a BS but since it's the same thing...). Well one day you will learn something, since I don't want and don't have the time to write a story like you I will stop here

and what's stopping you from doing exactly that? Let me guess: you don't have any idea what your are talking about.

Since you don't want to buy it, just relax, revert back to the original version of soldner, and keep playing that. It's ashame that leech kids like you are now making up the majority of the scene.

You realize that saying that probably means that you will go from :
"getting a couple games, patches & bitch the rest of the time"
to
"getting nothing at all & bitch full-time"

hah! I love it: everyone is so off who I really am. Let's educate: I'm turning 34yrs, 6'9", WASP, have my own 4-bedroom house+car, married, work as a IT contractor doing various careers at once (Ack!), and have been in the scene since, oh, '79 (the infancy days). Wow!! Ya thought I was 16yrs old!?? Now thats a complement! Razz

ANyway, its healthy to discuss the matters of the scene.. buying games IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.. crackers/coders are challenged by what they can accomplish so they go ahead and try to "beat the system for fun". Its always been a fun thing.
