Anyone been following this? Just saw it on steampowered.com, looks hilarious and awesome.
It will cost $19.95, but if you pre-order now on Steam you can get $5 off, $15 for this game is pretty sweet I'd say.

Security on board The Ship
There is security on board in the form of guards and cameras, who protect the unsuspecting passengers who share the Ship with Hunters. The security team enforces the ships laws, the primary law being no murder, so don't get spotted!
How to Hunt your quarry
The rules of the Hunt are simple. Each of you is given the name of one of the other contestants on board, your Quarry, and you must Hunt them down and kill them with any weapon you can find on board.
Customise your character's Outfit
The Ship offers a great deal of opportunity for players to customise their character. You can change your outfit and your hairstyle and if you look different enough your Hunter and Quarry will not recognise you next time they see you. |
Anyways, that's just some basic info, go read the game guide, you'll laugh and get excited. 
And yah this used to be an old HL1 mod, but has changed drastically. Another game I'll be purchasing!

wasent there a mod for hl1 about this didnt it had teh ame name and everything only this one will be in source engine

free mod for half life 1 and its a poor mod too. So its on source, big freaking deal. Its one game mode doing the same thing over and over again. The ship for hl1 is a cure for insomnia, and to be honest judging from the beta this one isnt much prettier. Waste of money.
What did I say a while ago, were going to be paying for every crappy mod that comes out on steam now. EVERY crappy MOD

Hardly anyone played the old mod, and even when you got a game the majority of the time it would basically turn into a frag fest in the toilets or any of the other 'lawless zones' and the guy with the most powerful weapon would win.
Also, the people who've played the map before have a massive advantage as they know where all the most powerful weapons are.
It would be ok if people actually played it how it's supposed to be played, but that hardly ever happens.

C'mon.. You didnt get me right... I said that noobs would play it... And with noobs playing it, the game would turn from a stealth game to something similar to CS.

in theory this game should be something like hitman online but in reality it turns out to be quake on a ship with cartoonish graphics.
